Q: Does this machine come with a tamper?

Q: What size tamper does this machine need?

The Delonghi espresso machine needs a 51mm tamper such as the "Omgogo Coffee Tamper 51mm Barista Espresso" available on Amazon, which has a black metal handle that matches the machine. That's what I got and love it. (I am NOT a paid reviewer).

Q: is the steam wand plastic or stainless steel? Any plastic that would come in contact with hot liquid? thank you.

Steam wand is plastic covered in stainless steel and internal steam wand is a rubber-like material

Q: Is it possible to froth a silky crema for latte? The wand has only capuccino option which puts lots of air in the milk.

I find the cappuccino option produces bigger air bubbles than I like yet the milk isn't hot enough. So I use the hot milk option instead - I first dip the wand deep into the milk to heat the milk through, then I lift the wand up at a 45degree angle near the surface of the milk to produce the kind of microfoam I like. It works like a charm.
