Description

Grow big, beautiful orchid blooms with Miracle-Gro Orchid Potting Mix Coarse Blend. Specially formulated for Epiphyte Orchid types, including Phalaenopsis (moth orchid), Cattleya, Epidendrum, and Dendrobium, this potting mix feeds plants for up to 6 months. The mix provides quick drainage for orchid types that require good air movement and drier conditions between waterings. To use, select a pot with a drain hole. Fill the pot about 1/3 full with potting mix. Loosen the root ball of your plant before placing it in the new pot. Fill the rest of the pot, leaving about 1/2 inch between the soil surface and pot rim. Water the plant and let it drain. Make sure soil is dry to the touch between waterings, and do not wet leaves. Do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. Depending on the individual plant’s needs, orchids should be repotted every 18 to 24 months.
