looks like acrylic plastic to me. Real amber would have been much more expensive

Pretty sure they are acrylic. We got some real amber too, not no fossils in those. So this was my insurance policy for my grandchildren.

Well, first fact that it’s not amber. It’s a poly resin. Fact two of you put a hike in the center it would not only ruin the center piece( the bug),and it would crack the dublet. ( two half pieces glued together) They are well made but not real Amber.
