20AWG - maybe. With PVC insulation probably not. Silicone is fine, although may require pliers or something to clip it shut.

There is a positive/ negative route diagram on each clip to prevent cross overs.

These connected are about 25mm long. They are only made for very thin wire. Anything thicker than speaker wire they will not close or cut the wire in two. As connectors they are very good. I have used them in my car.
