A great addition
These are easy to apply to Petzl carabiners. They fit well and are sturdy and I never have to worry about crossloading critical gear during rescues. They just work!

Hard Plastic, not a universal fit.
These work great for specific Petzl carabiners, but they're by far not universal. I purchased these thinking they were rubber as I've seen many carabiner stays made of flexible rubber that you can slide on to hold your caribeaner captive in a proper upright position. These, however, are hard plastic that screws down in place. They'll work great if you're only using Petzl rigging, but if you mix and match your gear these aren't going to work for you. Quality product, but they should explain that these are hard plastic and only compatable with specific caribeaners.

Great product. Minor modification makes them universal
I have some Petzl but mostly Rock Exotica biners. Obviously a perfect fit for the Petzl stuff but not RE stuff so all I did was put the screws in to hold the Captiv together then took some flush cut nips and a round file and cut out the valley ridges in the bars I wanted to use on multiple carabiners. This opened up each opening enough to fit them on pretty much anything. Then I just cranked down the screws to hold it in place, the plastic is fairly strong so the stress of cranking the screws down has not broken one yet on me. I'm also trying to think of a way to make them more easily removable without the screwdriver because sometimes I need to capture something in a biner but then need to uninstall it easily.
