Stiff heavy cardboard, like a regular board game.

4 player they are about an inch by inch 2 player inch and half by inch and half, shot glasses fit in them pretty well ;)

Q: My set is missing a gold queen. Do you know where I can get one?

Hi:Probably pick up a cheapy chess set, at a Dollar Store or something. You may be lucky enough to even get a gold & black colored set. If not; just paint the white queen piece with some primer, then some nice gold enamel model paint, about $3.00 for 20ml bottle. That's what I would do, if I didn't want the hassle of returning the whole set!Good luck
