I know it's mainly for Turkish tea drinking but I use it for my regular tea because it looks so pretty to have on the glass saucer. It adds a bit of something & is pretty on a tray along with my glass teapot. I also use a saucer if I have a little treat with my tea & it looks just as nice. They are well made & have a heavy bottom that makes them sturdy glasses. They feel good in your hand. I'm very satisfied with my purchase & recommend them to anyone considering giving them a try. I'd like to find a Turkish tea pot & learn how to make it the way they do though. Interesting. Signed......tea lover. Enjoy
