Timex Men's Expedition Sierra 40mm Quartz Watch

This an excellent watch. It’s a simple, field watch design with military time, which is handy. I have the black-faced version and just ordered one in white, and have several similar versions, and I’ve never had any issues with the watch. The Indiglo feature is handy and has never failed me. These watches are deadly accurate, and you find the replacement batteries just about anywhere.

I've always enjoyed the expedition series. This 40 mm size is really my favorite. Makes the dial easy to see and its a great looking watch with a nice bezel. It's a little heavier than the smaller size watches which took some getting used to but now it's no problem.

Very nice looking watch, I really like it but I think I just got a bad one, it ticks LOUDLY on my nightstand. Going to return and try again. Otherwise it’s a very slick watch, good backlight, solid looks, nice dial with color matched date wheel, good strap, fair price. The only things I would change would be a sapphire crystal for durability, and a better quartz movement.

Absolutely recommend this watch. Sits well on the wrist. Only “annoying” thing about it is that it has a fairly loud “tick” for the seconds hand (but it’s a known issue with this series of watches by Timex so that was expected).

Watch looks good from a distance & near.The fabric strap fits snugly & is cool to wear but I am not sure how long it would last or if it gets stuck on something, will it get cut.Lights : Indiglo light is good with the luminous hands.Weight : Moderate weight but if you are someone who has a smaller wrists or used to wearing lightweight watches from other brands or even Timex, you will see a difference immediately. So be watchful on this.Design : Very nice design.Disadvantage for me, returning this: For such a big watch, the date window is way too too small,and the date being hard to read. I found it so difficult to read the date in normal day, under lights or even with Indiglo lights.I wish, they had put in a bigger window for the date.Cost : way too higher for this product which has only fabric strap.I am not happy with this product, & returned it.

I did have to send it back to TIMEX to be repaired but I was using it on the railroad. It’s now my off-duty watch. I love it. I love how the back lights up. A good analog watch is worth it. Thanks.

The minute I opened the box, I knew I made a mistake. The watch, and especially the band, feels cheap. Even though this watch is only 80 dollars, it still felt like a bad value. The thing that really made my decision to send it back, was the way the indiglo did not work as expected; according to the pictures on the posting, it should have lit up the face of the watch nicely, but in reality, it barely made any difference at all, I don't know if that was because of a battery thing, but I did not risk it. Sent it back as soon as I could, and was glad I did.

Simple, classic, just works great watch that looks good too, all for a reasonable price.
