Purchased this Telephone combo recently. Sellers are the problem here. First, I order they didn't deliver the product nor any updates in “my orders” which made me concerned. I contacted amazon and they canceled my order and suggest to re-order it from a different seller. Anyway talking about the telephone, Yes it is a satisfactory solution for your landline-telephone needs. The base unit is just like a normal landline with some decent features, mainly the answering machine and in-built intercom feature.The cordless phone is just plug-and-play already paired with its base unit. So yes we need to first set up and start the base unit in order to work with the cordless one. Cordless is very stylish n sleek in design. And has a great range of upto 100 meters, I have tested cordless in my home and every corner receives the single, which is a very strong point for a Cordless phone. The built Quilty of both phones is ok ok for the price, Base unit can work even in a power cut but the cordless won't work if the base loses its power. Both have 150nos of the phonebook, backlit display, and conference/intercom feature.Pros:• Good features in the price range• Can connect upto 4 cordless• blue backlit on both• base unit can work in a power cut• great wireless range• conference/intercom in-builtCons:• buttons are not very good• no noise cancellation in mic (both)• very low output volume in cordless (even on max)• low battery backup in cordless• cordless won’t work if the base is offlineOverall good for home usage, even though the price is a little bit high for the product quality and features, should be around 3500.
