Q: Will the lights still work if the strip is cut?

It will work. There is a cut mark on the strip, you can customize the length and it will work as usual.

Q: How do you join the 2 x 6m reels together to make 1 x 12m length

Hi inside the pack there was some corner connectors but I had some straight connectors which I purchased. So the two reels can easily be put together to make it 12m :)
