will yes and no ? yes in theory you can pull power from the usb buss and not interfere with the data processed from the mouse, but lets say that the device you are using the power for draws more that 400 milliamps of power from the usb buss. it may load the circuit down so much that the mouse will not work ? 5 VDC for a 15 watt device and the mouse will not work ?
