it is a cheap flash but it works well, it is not top of the range but for the price it is reasonable, also good that it recharges so you save on batteries. I did notice it gets a bit hot on the front where the lights are so be careful in case if prolonged use. I have tried inside with the lights off and it seems to work well though I will need to get out and try it at night when lighting is very poor to properly push it for testing but so far I am happy.

The unit is small and has 20 IR lights (two rows of 10). You have a three-way switch: HALF (top 10); OFF; Full (all 20). Switching between HALF and FULL brightness does make a difference, and I found that in small to medium-sized rooms that HALF brightness was sufficient.I used the illuminator with a GoPro Hero 7 Black that has had its original lens changed for a Full Spectrum lens so that it can pick up infrared illumination.The IR Light illuminator works well indoors, and in my small back garden, it has a range of over 10 metres. Outside on the street, things were lit up at 20 metres.I did have a problem with the first unit that I bought: After just a few hours of use, only the top 10 lights of the first unit worked. I contacted the company, sent the original unit back, and ordered another unit. No problem, these things happen, and the replacement unit was quickly despatched and has worked with no trouble ever since.

However the overall quality in size is amazing.. it has a little bit of good quality weight to it but not heavy.. two different settings.. rechargeable not needing any batteries which is perfect for me connecting everything by USB or usb-c.Really good little gadget to have in your camera toolbox.I don't most of my filming at night so therefore this is just another asset to my collection..⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Have a full spectrum converted camera and was doubtful on how good this would be as cost so much less than others I had seen. I used this in the middle of the night at a secluded cemetery and was amazed at how good it was, even with only half the led’s on it was good, on full it was like taking photos in the mid day sun
