Hacker & Moore's Essentials of Obstetrics and Gynecology 6th Edition

I used this book for both my preclinical ob/gyn course and for my clinical rotation. It is an excellent text that is easy and pleasant to read and includes the necessary information for medical students. It covers physiology, pathophysiology as well as clinical obstetrics and gynecology. Its chapters are quick and easy to read, providing sufficient information without being too cumbersome. This is a perfect text for medical students wanting to thoroughly understand ob/gyn and ace those pimping questions as well as shelf exams!

Overall, this book is really good! Informative and well organized. My only complaint is that the index is completely off! I've tried looking up the page number of a topic that I KNEW i had already read about but couldn't remember what chapter it was in and the index took me to a completely different chapter that didn't even contain the topic i was looking for. And this happens EVERY TIME i consult the index. But otherwise a good book.

I love this book. Best book I have seen around. Tons of great pictures, charts, and simple explanations. OB/GYN isn't my specialty, great resource, and book for the practicing NP or NP student. You won't regret buying this book.

This book is very thorough, easy to read, and easy to follow. It's one of the best textbooks I've used in PA school.
