3M Protecta Comfort Construction Style Positioning Harness 1161207, Black, X-Large, 1 EA/Case

I did a lot of homework on this harness before selecting it. The last harness I had was a top notch harness supplied by my employer at the time. Though I was reimbursed for this one, and thus it too was supplied by my employer, the choice to find the best harness to suit my needs was on me this time. It is quite comfortable when it is adjusted properly and seems to help pull moisture away as you sweat in all the contact areas. The padding does seem to contribute to excessive sweating, so hydrate more. The hardware and features of the harness seem heavy duty and well constructed. It does have some weight to it compared to the minimum mandatory junk companies provide to visitors and contractors who don’t have their own harnesses. I have a separate suitcase only for PPE that I carry mine in. For what you get compared to what it costs, I feel like this harness is pretty nice. I do not remember seeing any evidence of service life expiration though. If I remember correctly my last harness was good for 3 years barring wear and tear, misuse and abuse, or being involved in a fall arrest scenario. There should be an expiration tag on this thing somewhere near the chest area, which is normally part of the pre-use inspection. It would sure go a long way in helping to explain why I have to buy a new one down the road when I do my expense report.

I bought one of these harnesses. It was a little bit too small so instead of returning it, I bought the size I needed and a friend of mine bought the other harness from me. Both of us absolutely love this harness. It’s amazingly comfortable, and Quality has great padding. Make sure that you get, a soft loop 12 inch extension for it so you can hook and unhook your harness. Make sure you get one with the soft loop on one end and a round hoop on the other end that’s made of metal.

Great basic harness for crane technicians at a fair price.

Great quality. Get your right size , 44” is XL but needs adjustment up on straps. Excellent harness.

The quality is good and the waist pad is really comfortable when you are working but the design can be a lot better the trauma straps pockets they are under the tools pouches making this a bit uncomfortable and the chest strap is the most annoying thing keeps going down to the lowest part of the harness is simply absurd how 3m didn't put nothing to keep the chest strap on place
