Do the clear lenses block uv light? I see they have "UV" in the model number, but when you look at the specs, there is no indication if the other tint

The short answer to your question is 'No, these clear lenses will not block UV light'. Honeywell makes glasses very similar to these, but with SCT Orange tinting; the model number of that is S0360X; they will block 100% of the UVA, UVB, and UVC high energy UV Blue light, in the 0-400nm range of wavelengths; there is some discussion that wavelengths in the 430-460nm range are also problematic. They interfere with Circadian Rhythms...affect your ability to sleep. These Ultra spec models will fit over prescription glasses; if you don't need that feature, they have glasses with similar protection parameters in a style called Skyper (#S1993X). Since we're talking about endangered vision, I would carefully research (i.e. contact Honeywell; they are helpful) the protection you're looking for and the correct glasses for that protection. These S0250X glasses you've specifically asked about, for instance, are made for protection against objects getting into eyes; they are not designed to block UV Blue light. What specifically are you trying to block? Also, be careful of unsubstantiated claims; there are a million people selling various tints and styles, but I've found that most of them are very vague about what exactly their glasses will do. Make sure you ask about specific Blue light wavelengths, percentages of blocking effectiveness. Honeywell is particularly helpful with that kind of specific, verifiable information.

Regarding your second question.... According to https://www.uvex.us/en/products/general%20purpose%20eyewear/uvex-ultra-spec-2000 it blocks 99% of UV-A and UV/B. Not UV-C.

Are these suitable for college labs?

My eyewear is amber, not clear. I use them at the end of the day when I am working on my computer or cellphone to block the blue light so I won't have trouble going to sleep. The manufacturer calls them "safety eyewear" so I would think they would work in a lab. I suggest that you Google the manufacturer for a more definitive answer.
