Yes, the quality and durability are very high.

Q: which resistance band would be good for bench press resistance for a heavy lifter? will the strongest one be too much?

It would really depend on how you are using the band and what you strength level is. If you are pressing over 315 lbs with no resistance I think you could be well suited with the extra heavy. Anything less, you would likely do better with the heavy.

This band is heavy resistance and will make a push up very challenging. We would recommend the light or medium resistance band.
