This model maintains the operating functions of its most popular predecessors, including programmable offset repeater and option capabilities for one tone CTCSS – to increase active repeater activity by 10 meters – and scanning receiver for quick search of frequencies. The units offer three selection frequency methods, Non-volatile memory to store and scan frequencies up to ten favorites, and front-panel frequency selector lock. In addition, this model offers an impressive range of design and performance improvements: 1. Enhanced Receiver: Designed for increased sensitivity and image rejections. 2. Dual FET Balanced Mixer: for improved Intermodulation rejection receiver. 3. New power supply: Protection and temperature compensation to improve stability and reliability across wide temperature ranges. 4. Surface Components: for increased shock and vibration resistance. 5. Improve display illumination: for easy reading in a wide range of light conditions. 6. Output power from 10W to 200W (rci-2970 N2 variable).
