Privacy Cover Works Excellent
Some of the other people who reviewed this privacy cover had issues with this product not staying on the webcam securely. My webcam is a Logitech C922 so I can only speak to that webcam. You need to place the privacy cover flush or parallel to the webcam before pressing down. I will repeat that. You need to place the privacy cover flush or parallel to the webcam before pressing down. If it's cocked at all it will not seat or snap in. If it's done properly the privacy cover literally snaps in securely. And the products cover does not fall down randomly now because the unit is now installed properly which aids to the pin pressure of the cover. Hope this helps someone. Love this product.

excellent cover for C920x
I am very pleased with the logitech’s C920x webcam, the only downside being that it has no cover, and makes me feel like someone is always keeping an eye on me. So when not in use (for most of the time), I usually take it off the top of the monitor and put it on the side while camera is facing the wall. However, this routine of the moving the webcam became a bit annoying, and I decided to try the aftermarket cover (why Logitech did not have one designed with it right from the beginning, I do not know). So here comes MoimTech Privacy Cover. It arrived on time, in simple box which was easy to open. Cover fitted on the top of the webcam, snugly and securely. It looks very in place and not like some add-on. It covers the whole front face of the webcam (please see included photos), and securely and thoroughly blocks the camera. To use the webcam, one needs only to flip cover up, and it is ready to go. Cover stays up nicely, and I have no feeling that it will fall down, even though my webcam is slightly tilted down.Overall, 5 stars and I will definitely recommend it – in today’s world, every webcam probably should have privacy cover.

Snap on cover. Cheap and MUCH better than anything I tried to make at home.
Being too cheap to buy the C920 with the pre-installed privacy cover, I figured I'd just use paper, a tissue, or a decorated toilet paper tube as a quick cover. Turns out that months of this homemade nonsense was so annoying and unreliable that I came here to buy one. This snaps on, is easy to use, and stays up/down when I need it to.I downgraded it to 4 stars for quality since the flip cover snapped off almost immediately when I was trying to install it. Good news- it went right back on. However, no matter what I did the flip up cover wasn't perfectly level after that. The 'hinge' area may have bent a bit but it still does the job it was meant to do. I just won't ever take it off or fiddle with it again. It's a cheap and effective privacy cover.

Nice design, tricky to assemble, needs adhesive.
The seller was very responsive. The first one arrived with a broken pin, had to return it. The replacement arrived very quickly, but in 2 pieces, and I had to assemble it. It has 2 pins like a wristwatch band, tricky to insert them so it will pivot. There are no instructions so I had to figure it out. (Update: the video on the Amazon product page is a decent substitute for instructions.)Once I had it assembled, it fit perfectly on my Logitech C920 webcam. It's clearly made to fit this exact model shape, sitting loosely on top with a bit of overhang so it doesn't slide off. It doesn't snap on to my C920 as the video suggests. The door flips up to use the camera, and down to cover it. The only problem is that flipping the door knocks the cover off the top, and when it falls onto the desk, the pins pop out and have to be re-inserted.I solved the problem with a pair of double-sided sticky square photo/scrapbook mounting tabs (about 1/2 inch square each.) They hold the top in place and now it's working great. Velcro tape cut to size would probably work well too.

Simple and Effective
The MoimTech Privacy Cover works exactly as it should. It snaps on easily, stays in place, and does the job perfectly. The quality seems solid too, especially for such a small and simple product. No complaints—it's a great little privacy cover!

No "I spy"!
I like the option to keep the cover down and prying eyes out of my life. I had been using a piece of tape to cover the lens when not in use. This is even better. I would prefer that the cover attached more securely. I have to remove it when it is stored and often have to find it in the bag with the rest of my equipment because it slips off easily.

Meh... better than nothing
I am working from home, and thought I would buy this cover for my webcam. Thought since I infrequently use the camera I would just have it covered all the time, just in case, and that when I needed the camera I would just flip up the hinge and use the camera. But that's not how this device works. First off, this device fits pretty well over my webcam and stays on sturdy and does a great job of covering the camera lens, and it looks nice. However, when I want to go use my camera, you can't just flip the lid up. There is no hinge or spring mechanism, it is simply a small plastic nub that is a cheap excuse for a hinge, and no method to lock or hold the cover in the upright position. So you can't just flip the lid up and have it stay in place. Because of that issue, I end up simply lifting the whole thing off the webcam and placing it aside on my desk while I use the webcam, then placing it back on the camera afterwards. So in actual functionality there's no stay-in-place hinge for flipping the lid up, and instead it's more like a tissue box cover if you had to remove the box every time you wanted a tissue. Still, it looks nice when it's on the camera, and I have peace of mind knowing the camera is blinded by it, so I'll keep it. But you could probably 3D print a better one yourself.

Might be tricky to put together, but works great.
I can see where there are negative review for this product, as it arrives in package in two pieces and it is possible to break the retention tabs when installing the two pieces together. That being said, I carefully took my time to put the thing together and did not force it. Snaps right onto my Logitech C922x and the flaps stays locked open when fully extended up.
