I could go on and on … and mention how breathtakingly beautiful and remarkable The Orion Constellation and some of its Characteristics looked through these Binoculars during last March, as well as other objects I viewed including the magnificent Messier 81 (spiral galaxy) and Messier 82 (Cigar Galaxy) in the constellation Ursa Major (without the use of a Tripod too) … but I feel I have said enough! However may I just say that a few days ago, I observed Jupiter and its 4 Galilean moons — Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Jupiter appeared as a bright glowing disc. It was a most impressive and phenomenal sight! An important point that I would like to state is that, so far I have not noticed one of the most annoying optical problems known as Chromatic Aberration or Color Fringing. This, I have to say is another confirmation of the \"high quality Japanese optics, using Celestron's proprietary XLT coating technology for superior optical performance\". Concerning the practicality of the Binoculars. They are very easy and comfortable to manage and holding them is not demanding. That said, if one would like to observe objects for long periods of time and in more detail, both a Tripod Adaptor and Tripod are essential. Lastly, I brought these Binoculars to my local Astronomy Club here in Trieste, Italy (il Circolo Culturale Astrofili Trieste) with the intention of getting some feedback from more knowledgable and experienced Astronomers. In my experience, the only one called a diopter is the one you can adjust on the right eyepiece. The instructions call both that and also the normal focusing ring the diopters which is confusing. The instructions are also a bit too 'cutesy\" for me. I would skip the cutesy part and make the instructions clear, but maybe that's just me. In general the binocs are great and a great deal. They are high quality, waterproof, lightweight and easy to use. You could pay a lot more for the same level of quality and if you are looking for birds these are just the power and field of view that you need. This is just a NICE. LITTLE. UNIT. I saw some reviews with questions/confusion about ability to focus and effective use on targets close-in. The unit DOES focus, just learn how. (Think: retractable telescopic “pirate scope” and you’ll figure it out.) And it will handle targets as close as 6-7 yards in (10x). And 30x max zoom is just as clear (note at 30x you’ll need surgeon-stable hands or a tripod to stabilize). Don’t get your heart set on perfect directions, they lack. Christmas morning I had both my 20-something kids try the scope, independently, no directions. They both figured out how to extend, adjust 10x-30x power, and focus. Ok, they didn’t notice the eye cup. But that’s just an option to use or not (rotates CCW to extend the eye cup). They both used binoculars before so those basics of use apply here as well. And....was a factor in their ability to quickly figure-out the unit. This unit is more than worth the price. I’d buy it again without hesitation.\nReview: Works! Good enough for the money. - Remarkable monocular! Lightweight, with a fairly good view for very little money. I was a little apprehensive, based on some of the other reviews. The model I received works great, though. It's not the easiest to use, as there are basically 3 rotary settings plus one that's just shifting back and forward, but overall it's useful for the size and weight. I'm am suspecting that some of the people that didn't get it to work, even after changing it in for a second one, didn't manipulate all the 4 different settings. The manual is, I will admit, lacking in guidance on that part. Mine didn't come with the camera clip that some people talk about, but I wasn't planning on using that anyway. It does come with the small lanyard. No guidance on how to attach that, but there's 2 small holes in the tripod-screw-in, that will accept the lanyard. I can't comment on sheerness, as I'm not sure what that's referring to. All in all, had I received the camera clip, I may have considered doing a video review. However may I just say that a few days ago, I observed Jupiter and its 4 Galilean moons — Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Jupiter appeared as a bright glowing disc.
