Sashiko Thread JUMBO Skein, 100 meters - Color #102 "Natural" - Japanese Quilting & Embroidery

This is my first attempt at sashiko and the thread worked very well. IMPORTANT TIP: you can't pull one end of the thread from the skein like you would for Western embroidery floss or twine. Instead, you pull the thread out of the paper wrapper, look for a short thread that is securing the loop, and cut the loop there. Yes, cut it! That will divide the loop into lengths of thread just right for stitching. You can then put the thread back through the paper label if you like, and loosely braid it, or loop it over a ring -- in any case, you'll be in a position to pull individual threads from then on. This is another nice colorway of good sashiko thread. It has bright, bold colors, the thread is smooth, and the quantity/length/yardage/meterage is great. I still have plenty left after stitching this little coin purse.

Loving the quality of this thread. Ordered 2 Sashiko Thread JUMBO Skein, natural coloring and it looks amazing with the fabric I selected. Goes on the needle fast (I had no problem threading the needle) and doesn't twist in the stitching, perfect!

This sashiko thread is a good quality. I like the convenience of ordering thread from amazon and, considering the cost of this type of thread, a large hang like this is a good buy.
