Get your game started in style with the Disc raft Deluxe Disc Golf Set. Includes 2 drivers, 1 midrange, 1 putter and a Disc raft Weekender disc golf bag. Models, stamps, plastics and colors of discs will vary, but are always beginner-friendly. Please note that items do not come in stock box shown in photos. Review: Great starter set and value for those looking to get into DG - First off, this is a starter kit, albeit a very strong set for a starter. The discs included in this pack are still starter quality discs. My pack included an XL (D-Pro), Xpress (Z), Buzzz (pretty sure it is a D-Pro also) and a Soft Magnet (D-Pro). The bag is a very good quality with room for plenty of discs starting out. As you get better, you might want a larger bag, but this will serve you well for keeping it in the car with a few discs if you want to stop off and play a round. There is also a good selection of discs for a starter. The XL is a distance driver with a pretty straight flight path. The Xpress is a fairway driver that is also relatively neutral. The Buzzz was the mid-range that I hoped to get (though I will probably upgrade to a FLX or Titanium before too long) and it has a very good flight pattern. The Soft Magnet is also a great starter approach and putter. I can see how the random disc selection could be an issue for some, as I feel like I could have had a better setup with some lighter discs, but for $40 for four discs and the bag, I feel pretty solid about what I got. On a side note - the bag and discs came packaged in a clear bag, not a box, so if you are expecting a pretty package for gifting, it isn't all that great. You could always just pick up a nice gift bag and drop it in there with some tissue paper if you needed a quick fix though. Overall, I'm very happy with the discs and the bag. Review: Great set for starting out - This is a great 4-disc set for beginners. I had played a couple of times, borrowing discs from my friends, but I decided to purchase this, so I could have my own. They are all decent quality, and the set is a good introduction to the world of disc golf. My favorite disc in the set is the putter. Assuming you get the same one in every pack (I'm not sure that is the case) it has a nice, rubbery feel to it, providing a good amount of grip, which is helpful on short-range shots. It flies nice and straight up to about 25 feet or so (with a good snap of the wrist) and tails off to the left. Once you get the curve figured out, this putter is awesome. The set also includes two drivers, one extra-long distance, and one long-distance, and the Buzz, which a really nice mid-range disc. The bag that's included is of pretty nice quality, considering it's free. I have no worries setting it on the ground, or putting my muddy discs in it. It has a fairly rugged feel to it. Overall, a great value!

Great for a start...
This is a great starter kit for anyone interested in getting into the sport of disc golf. It provides you with 4 discs: the Nuke which is a maximum distance driver and over stable so it will finish to the left, the Avenger SS which is also considered a maximum distance driver will not go quite as far as the nuke but it is less stable which will allow newer players to get more out of it when they first start and as they get more experience it becomes a great roller, the Buzzz is one of the greatest mid ranges ever made however you throw this disc is how it is going to fly hyser anhyser whatever you want it to do, and for the putter you get the focus an old ace race disc that can easily be used for a mid range shot and will always finish the the left. The biggest downfall is that they are Pro D plastic, and for a new player that can mean that the discs wear incredibly fast. They will still fly good, but their original flight characteristics will deteriorate faster than a disc made in Elite X, Elite Z, or ESP. But if you are unsure about the sport this shouldn't bother you. This is a set made for beginners so the weights will be lighter than what you will want as you improve and the weights were given in a range not an exact number. My nuke was incredibly light which meant I usually turn it too much. The biggest disappointment for me was the quality of the bag. Cheaply made, doesn't even hold a bottle of water but will hold your discs. To sum it up: Good value for a new player, but if you have played before and are looking to expand your discs maybe buy better quality plastic and heavier discs.

Good deal!
I received: Avenger SS (blue), Heat (pinkish-red), Buzz (orange), Challenger OS (light blue), and the bag. Definitely a good deal! The bag fits about 10 discs and has a water bottle holder on the side. Everything was packaged well with no defects or anything. The colors are vibrant and easy to spot in the woods. The buzz is just a great disc for anyone at any level. The plastic used for these discs is soft. Heat and Avenger are good once you can increase your throwing speed. I'm not fond of the putter (challenger), but I know others that do. If you're looking to start playing, this is a good place to start.

Great Set for Beginners
It's a great starter set for the price. If purchased individually you'd be looking at about $15 for the bag, and $9-12 per disc, depending on which you're fortunate enough to get. The bag will hold up to 9 or so discs. The discs you get vary, and are either Pro D or Elite X plastic, which are the two cheapest plastics Discraft offers. However, they're adequate for beginners. I had two friends also order this product. We all got a Nuke (Pro D or X), a Stratus (Pro D or X), a Buzz (Pro D or X), and a Magnet (soft or hard). We all got at least one Elite X disc. The Nuke is unusable for a beginner, but the other 3 are great to learn with. If you're just getting involved with disc golf, this is a great set to get.

Great set!
These are perfect for beginners, cover all the basics that you need to get out and get playing. This is a fun sport that everyone can play, no matter how old. Contains a couple of drivers, a midrange, a putter and a bag to take them all around in. The bag holds about 7 discs total, so if you catch the bug you'll need to replace it pretty soon.

to get it right
TO GET IT RIGHT I light out into the Canby woods armed with a Frisbee like disc and a small tan dog. All around me tower regal fir trees standing straight as lazar beams limbs spread in a profusion of impossible angles and sweeps. At their feet and climbing their coats of bark grow ivy and other hungry vines. Surrounding the trees and carpeting the ground between are wild tripping tangles of blackberry vines, tall nettles itching to sting a hand or leg, ferns and stray clumps of grass begging for sunlight. I fling my orange disc hoping dearly that it will land on the twisted thread of a trail snaked out ahead of me. On most throws it detours either left or right into the waiting arms of nettles and thorns or boinks off a sturdy tree trunk and plops like a lopsided hat on a clump of fern. My dog gives me a sigh and a look of stoic disappointment then turns to sniff out another new forest flavor. Fetching my strayed disc is just not her thing. I retrieve the errant flyer which has wedged under brambles that guard a ground bee nest a couple yards from the trail. If I wasnโt such an idiot Iโd wear a pair of garden gloves. Setting my jaw and checking my stance I fling the disc again, this time watching it spin and weave itโs way further to the right off the trail. Gad zooks I suck at this game. The tittering squirrels in the nearby hazelnut trees seem to agree. I marvel and grouse at the foliage as I again retrieve the disc and line up to throw at the target stand that has finally come into view a short distance ahead. To my left flows a stream cutting a deep meandering trail toward the river that heralds the edge of this quiet retreat. My next throw slides part way down the embankment toward the creek. Another few flicks of the wrist lands my disc in the metal target basket. Iโve made it and I only have one teensy nettle sting on the knuckle of my right hand. I count that as a good day as I follow the little arrow sign pointing toward the next of twelve tee off spots and the next opportunity to get it right.

Overall a good starter set
The discs are a little bit soft so when you hit a tree or rock it does leave scuff marks on the disks. I'm a beginner but have played 10-15 times this year. I have used some of my friends discs and are A much better quality. They were Nova brand... The drivers are far too stable which limits the range. The midrange is awesome and better than the Nova. And the putter is OK. I hope my review helps determine whether this is the right product is right for you.

Great starter set
My buddy and I are just getting into disc golf, and he purchased this set last week. A few rounds with them on Friday and I was ready to place my order. They came in Monday just after noon; quite fast processing and shipping. As other reviewers mentioned these packs do not seem very random; I got the exact same models (colors are different) as my friend: Magnet (175-176g according to the sticker) in Pro-D plastic, Buzz (155-159g), Heat (170-172g), Avenger SS (167-169g) all in the X plastic. I appreciate the 4 discs over the 3 in other packs (nice to have driver options), and it's nice to have a case to carry them around in. The case itself is well-designed, if not of the highest quality. The front pouch for a go-to disc, zippered pocket in the interior, velcro strip to keep the top open, and beverage holder on the side are all nice touches. This seems like the best starter kit for getting into disc golf, and working on your form with basic discs before trying out some of the more advanced ones.

Fantastic Starter Kit!
Products arrived 1 week earlier than the estimated delivery time and included a great set of discs for starting out. Especially pleased with the Buzzz Jawbreaker! Brilliant set, looking forward to trying them out and expanding the collection in the near future. Would buy again.

Good Starter Kit, Excellent Customer Service.
EDIT TO THE BELOW REVIEW: I contacted Discraft about the broken discs and their customer service and attention to detail was phenomenal. Thank you to the person who helped me out (if you're reading, hopefully you know who you are, JA) but really - thank you. We have a full set again and my Boyfriend is a happy camper once more. Bought these as a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas because he's really gotten into playing Disc Golf with his buddies. He'd been borrowing a set from his friend, but figured he should have his own. The very first time he took them out to use them, the Stratus disc snapped clean in half right down the middle. I would have thought that since the point of this game is to hurl the drivers as far as you can for distance they would be at least durable for playing once they hit the ground. I am very disappointed in these discs, especially since this was a gift. Be weary of these and do some more research before purchasing on quality. I wish I had done that more. They also weren't cheap either!
