The cameras are lorex so you're getting a great product no matter what. Our order arrived not correct and desertcart did nothing to resolve our concerns but when dealing with the OnPoint Surveillance directly they addressed and handled my concerns fully and honorably. I recommend them for your security needs. Review: Lorex 4K System is Not as Advertised - Lorex advertising claims that this 4K unit supports the new H.265 video compression protocol. This new more efficient video compression would actually reduce the amount of hard drive space required by half. The only problem is that if you change the default compression from H.264H to H.265 you get major ghosting and pink screens in both live view mode and playback mode. Also in playback mode you cannot export any of your recorded footage without an export failure. After a few tries with Lorex technical support I actually got a person that was able to confirm the issues I was having with my unit. They checked with their technology department and confirmed that the unit would not work as advertised if you used the new H.265 video codec. The included 3TB included hard drive will be completely full if you record in continuous mode with the 8 included 4K cameras using the default settings in around 24 hours. Maybe someday the NR9163X NVR firmware will be updated so that it actually supports the advertised H.265 video codec. I tried posting this information in a product review on the Lorex web site and after they approved the review and posted it for a day they quickly removed it. Lorex product data sometimes makes claims that do not match the actual capability of their systems. In general I have found their software to be difficult to use and setup. I have attempted to use FlirCloud Client on both PC and Mac computers. I have not been able to get the Mac software to work consistently. It tends to forget the NVR ID every time you log in. For IOS devices there are around 15 software choices. I have had some success with Lorex Cloud and Lorex Secure. Lorex Cloud is my preference for remote viewing of you cameras. All I can say is do your research and be ready for a few hours on the phone with Lorex technical support to get a systems working somewhat. Also be ready to install the latest firmware if you want a chance of making the systems work.

Poor video quality for 4K!
For a 4k system the video quality was very poor, and the software was just ok. Could not get the software working on a Mac or PC they said they were working on a updated version coming soon. They have a few different apps for iso and not sure why? None of them are very good. As for the video quality, I may have received a bad unit or maybe a knockoff unit, was a third party sold by amazon.
