Slip into Nina's Culver kitten heel shoe for instant glam . It features a rich satin upper, pretty pintucks over the twisted design of the vamp, and a flirty open toe. Pair them with pretty party dresses or any evening attire for an always-appropriate classic look. Nina Footwear is one of the few family-run fashion companies in the shoe business. In the early 1950s, Mike and Stanley Silverstein were strolling around New York when they saw a woman walk by in wood bottom sandals. They asked her about where she had bought them, and when she named a chic boutique in the city, the two brothers knew the time was right to launch their reinterpretation of the clog -- a sexy, platform slide with a wood stiletto-like heel. It was this simple slide that launched Nina Footwear. Today, Nina's sexy, well-priced shoes are widely featured in fashion magazines. A favorite of the "splurge vs. steal" columns, Nina is frequently shown as the only fashion item under $100 along side of shoes priced from $300-$700.

Perfect dressy pump
This shoe fits like a dream and is lovely. I got it to go with a dark red dress for a fall wedding and it will be ideal; it matches almost perfectly and also goes with a silk shell I have for a black suit. The shoe has a soft luster to the fabric just as named, is well made, has a mid-heel height and was comfortable from the first time I put it on. I have always found Nina shoes to run a bit narrow so the medium width is perfect even with the open side and toe; I have no feeling that I will slide out of it because the heel is snug. Well worth the money in whatever color for a dress shoe.

Good price on very nice shoe
Purchased for wedding in late summer so I'm just breaking them in at home for now. I do see how some may have trouble with the heel sliding up and foot slipping out. You definitely can not walk like you are wearing boots or tennis shoes or run in these. However, as my grandmother said "walk like a lady: small steps, weight on the ball of your foot - the heel is only for stability while standing still," then you won't have any problems. The heel height is great, very comfortable. I do need to break them in since the open toe rubs a bit on my big toe. Otherwise the fit was perfect.

Shoe Disaster
I have several pairs of Nina evening shoes in different styles and have never had a problem with any of them; these were the sad exception. They are beautiful shoes and looked great with the gown for my son's wedding, and when I tried them on the first time, they seemed to fit fine. When I put them on again to measure the hem of my gown, the heels seemed to be slipping a bit. I didn't think it was a problem; I thought they just needed a small pad, which did seem to work at first. When I put them on the third time to "break them in" a bit before the big day, they got looser and looser in the heel the more I walked. Additional pads didn't make much of a difference. Taking tiny steps didn't help. Since it was too late to go shopping for different shoes, I wore them for the pictures and the ceremony (walking very carefully) and then changed to an old pair of evening shoes for the dancing and reception. A disappointment and a waste of money.

They are enough of a heel to look nice, but low enough to be comfortable for extended ...
I bought these shoes to wear them for my wedding. They are enough of a heel to look nice, but low enough to be comfortable for extended periods of time. I am an 8 1/2 shoe size in all of my dress shoes and other pairs of Ninas. I ended up needing an 8 as these shoes run large.

Pretty, but ouch!
I love the lines and the look of these shoes, plus the hard-to-find bright yellow color was exactly what I needed. I received lots of compliments on them when I wore them to a rehearsal dinner. The downside is that they were not terribly comfortable. The toe opening rubbed right on the cuticle of my big toe. When I wore them around the house to break them in a little, I noticed that they were rubbing up and down on my heels. So on the night I wore them, I used those gel strips that you stick in the back of the shoe (heel grips). This may have been a mistake, as I ended up with two blisters on the inside of my heels from the gel strips rubbing on them. Maybe they run a tad large, but I always wear a 7 1/2 in Ninas and could not have worn a 7 in these. They are beautiful shoes, great if you are not going to be doing much walking around or dancing!

Beautiful shoe but fit is terrible!
I ordered four pairs of this shoe in four sizes for my daughter's wedding and none fit well. I wear a 6 B but this pump was so long I could fit my index finger between the back of my foot and the shoe. The 5-1/2 B was still too long and the 5 M was the proper length but extremely tight . So I ordered a 5 wide hoping that would remedy the problem. It was still too tight! Eventually, I just bought heel pads for the 6. The width was fine but the shoe was still a little loose. Although it is a beautiful shoe it is not comfortable to wear for hours on end and especially for dancing the night away. Fortunately, I had stashed a more comfortable pair of shoes under the table at the reception to change into for dancing.

Perfect Size
I am 5' 2". I wear a wide 7. It is very difficult to find this size. I took a chance at order the 7W. This was a perfect fit. Very comfortable. Order came on time. The shoe is satin black. Beautiful. Thank you NINA. I love your shoes. I will order again.

Nice shoes for the price.
I purchased the color blue and it looks exactly as the photo but the size I received didn't match. One is half inch larger than the other which in this type of sandals the fit must be right otherwise it will just keep coming off your feet and the gap is too obvious to tell the difference. Hence, only 4 stars... The heels are not too high, and not too low either. It has enough height but still comfortable to stand, walk and perhaps even dance as they are dressy and classy looking to wear at the wedding or special occasions. The price is also reasonable for the look, style and comfort. I hope this review helps...
