Surprised at how good this was! So good, I bought another one for my wife's car
After having had a few FM transmitters over the past (feels like) decades or so, This one does 'what it says on the tin'. "The guru of FM transmitters".Used on a 2008 Astra, no aux available, just connected up via cigarette lighter and synch to 87.5fm.Great large clear screen makes it easy to see what you are doing. With the screen on continually, it also makes it easier to see without having to click on it to 'waken it up'.'Next' and 'back' buttons are large and work perfect for me using Spotify. (Still to test out on sd card or usb pen drive).Charger works perfect also.Easy to install and instructions are great and easy to follow.Quality of both Music through car radio and telephone quality is so good.To note - Volume needs to be raised a couple of clicks to hear clearly, so be aware if changing radio station to another channel. Volume button on device is in great location, but I tend to use steering wheel controls.Just bought another one for my wife's car.

It's fine, it works, there is an easier way though
Hi, I bought this because I have an old Ford Focus and it only has a radio and a CD player and no USB port. It works fine, though I couldn't get it to work at first...I eventually realised that the problem was with the cigarette lighter slot - the fuse had gone. When I replaced the fuuse, the transmitter worked first time. It is simple enough to use, and I also bought a micro-USB card to put MP3 files on, and it works well with that too. However the simplest and cheapest approach is just to buy a simple FM transmitter and plug it into your phone or MP3 player - I have just bought on on e-you-know-where for £6.45. Search for "Wireless Handsfree Car FM Transmitter" . Just plug it into your phone or mp3 player and tune your radio to it. Extremely simple, cheap, and the sound is fine. Useful as a back-up .

Easy to install and set up and decent sound quality for the price
This is quite bulky so might not fit well in all vehicles. Mine is in an Audi TT which has just enough space so it fits well. It was pretty easy to set up and link with my iPod and phone although it only connects to one source at a time. You have to manually change the Bluetooth connection. The sound quality is pretty good for the price paid. No Bluetooth link device is perfect and I have tried quite a few. This is one of the best I've heard. I'm pleased with the purchase and would recommend.

Simply the best
This is the best, not one of the best, but the best item I have ever ordered on Amazon. I ordered this 2022 and I have changed my car 3 times, which means I have used it with 4 cars of mine and it’s still solid and still working perfectly. Everything that was said on the advert is nothing but true.

The sound was a bit bad but the hand's free worked quite well.
Terrible sound with low volume also I travel 22 miles to work so by the time I got there other stations would be in the back ground. Good idea but not for me .

Listening to Spotify in a car without Aux
Bought this so I could play Spotify in my 2004 plate Mini Cooper as it only has a radio and CD player. So pleased with this product. Really easy to set up. I'm using it with the audio cable supplied. The sound quality is brilliant and I am now able to listen to Spotify. If that's what you want this product for I would highly recommend it.

Dreadful sound and no volume
The product is easy to install and I rated it 5 stars but then everything went rapidly downhill to 1 star. The sound was dreadful and even on maximum volume was inaudible when driving. I had to turn the volume up to maximum on my iPhone, the device and my radio to hear anything and then here was background noise like heavy rainfall. Sorry not for me.

Awkward to use if 12v near gear shift.
Works well but if your 12v is on the centre console on the curve between horizontal and vertical, I found it stuck out too much with not enough flex in the flex arm to get it out of the way of the gear shift. The pairing is easy and very fast. The speaker decent for hands free calling. The pairing to empty FM channel works well with music from phone.I have found generally very good quality with little hiss if any and as long as the volume on your phone is high, the gadget on max volume, you can play the music loud too.For the little money, you are getting a lot of features that all work well. Including fast forward and back on tracks.Plus you can still charge your phone while using it from the USB ports. It's a win win if you don't want the expense of a new stereo to have phone connectivity.

Very convenient transmitter that sounds great with a little tweaking!
UPDATE: At the seller's request, I spent more time with this product to see if I could figure out how to reduce the sibilant noise. The seller recommended I try a different FM station which only made me think they didn't understand the problem. I already had a clean station that works fine with my current transmitter. Why would a different station produce better results on s sounds? But, as I really like the conveniences of this transmitter, even though their suggestion seemed unhelpful, I gave it another go because I really want this unit to work.I googled "open fm frequencies" and found a couple recommended stations for my zip code. The results of my tests, which I describe next, were the same regardless of the FM station. There were differences though, so it is worthwhile to try several. The differences in FM stations were mainly in how quiet the silence was. So I should think it best to start by finding the FM station that's quietest for your vehicle in the zip codes in your commute. By this I mean, set the radio and transmitter to the first recommended station and turn the car radio volume up. Then try the next station and compare to find the quietest. If your car's FM tuner has a signal strength indicator, this next step is a bit more scientific. My Honda has a "ST" indicator that goes out if the stereo signal fades. I set the Bluetooth volume on my phone to max, turned the car radio volume to near zero and the transmitter volume to max, then played a song with vocals containing the "s" sound. With the car volume low it was very easy to see the "ST" disappear whenever the sibilant "s" sound occurred. Even if I couldn't hear the distortion, I could see the stereo signal disappear. For why this occurs, google "Why is the s sound the most distorted on bad radio signals" So, now I had a repeatable, objective way to observe the problem.Leaving the phone volume at max, I then began reducing the transmitter volume until the ST no longer went out. This occurred about 21/22 for the particular songs I was testing with. I then turned the car radio volume up to a fairly loud level and listened. The s distortion was still noticeable, and I ended up turning the volume down to between 15 and 18. This still provided plenty of volume for my car radio and the distortion was nearly undetectable. Certainly good enough. For some songs that just need to be louder, I would certainly say crank the transmitter volume. But then return it to the sweet spot around 15 to 18.Then I compared the sound I was now getting to my original Coby (which just sounds great but is no longer available). I found that the music sounded just about as full, but with a cleaner signal, better stereo separation and better clarity, which you would expect from Bluetooth. So now, what I had hoped for is true: This transmitter does the job. I can recommend it to friends as well as pick up a couple more for my other vehicles.ORIGINAL REVIEW: 3 stars - Picked this one based on positive reviews. Does key things well - pairs quickly and automatically; next and previous song buttons work as expected; using blue tooth, sound is much clearer than using an audio cable in headphone port. Compared to my current FM transmitter, and old Coby unit, it's much more convenient as it automatically connects. The only issue is the sound quality at high frequencies. Sibilants (s-sounds, hissing) come through quite distorted. For some songs are unlistenable. Piano music, for instance, wouldn't be affected. Vocal music likely is. I'm comparing this with my current FM transmitter which doesn't produce this distorted s-sound affect at all. Sound I'm surprised this one does, and that no one has mentioned it in a review, good or bad. Wondering if I received a defective unit. Have used it for two days. and will see if the distortion becomes too irritating to keep this product.

A lot of noises
This is my first product of this type and I am not happy with it. I've tried multiple frequencies (even 108 and 87.5, which technically should be the best), I've also removed the radio antenna and there is still a lot of interference. The sound quality would be good if not for the noises.
