Simran AC-300 Step Up/Down Voltage Converter Transformer 110V/220V - 300 Watts,Black

My partner from UK brought his Xbox from UK. This worked perfectly to increase power to his 240 volts to be able to use it. He is also able to use it to decrease voltage from 240 in UK to 120v US bought items

Works well. You do notice the fan at first but after the initial start up I don't hear it over my audio. The box does say there is a handle but there is no handle.

Does the job. Be sure to pay attention to the little switch on the back prior to running this for the first time. I am using this for a British DVD player as an alternative to modded multi-region players which are sometimes glitchy. The only issue I find with this transformer is in the direction of the 240 volt receptacle. It is oriented with the ground pointed up, which is, as I've noticed in TV shows and movies, the way most receptacles and plugs seem to point over there. However, on a tabletop unit such as this, this leaves no room for the strain relief of the plug. I took the unit apart and was able to flip the receptacle upside down. Now the strain relief wraps around the top. An easy enough fix, but it does require some confidence on working on this stuff. Also, if you do flip the receptacle, take great care to ensure that the wires do no pull out of the back. Also, the clips which hold the receptacle in are very lightweight and cheesy. Hot glue is used in the factory as a reinforcement. It is advisable to replace this hot glue when you are done to avoid a surprise should you ever unplug the device you are powering.

This is a very good product for its price and purpose. I am using this for a karaoke player that my parents bought for me from the Philippines. I need one to lower the voltage from 220 to 110 and this one is a life saver of my karaoke player. Now it’s about time to have some fun!!!

I use this about a month now. Great can use on my Singer 222k featherweight from U.K. Recommand to get this. Transformer supply about 13 pound to carry out. 300 watts can handle the power. Thanks

I was excited to be able to use my 220V speaker system from back home here in the States, but when I went to plug it in nothing happened! I plugged in the transformer, I set the input voltage to 110V, and then plugged the speaker into the 220V output. It showed a light that it was receiving power, but when I went to press the ON button the speakers turned on then turned itself off. Not sure why that is. Can someone help? I'm not sure what I've done wrong..

Doesn't work. bought it with the thought of using. it sat in a closet for a couple of months. when attempted to use (first time) checked multiple times that the input is set on 220 V (as in my country), connected (first with a plug adapter) to live power socket, flipped the switch and nothing, no light no current nothing. Changed the plug (to have grounding) still nothing. Changed a fuse, nothing. Just a heavy ugly chunk of metal. Going to try and open it up next, hopefully not going to electrocute myself edit: thanks to a bad screw, I had to go find something to break it off with... it has been a while since I used my Dremel :) awesome first impression when taking apart... When opened, the first thing I noticed is the fuse's disconnected wire (circled with red in one of the attached photos) and copious amounts of glue (just indicates how "good" the build quality is)... so now I need to go find a soldering iron, which I'm not sure I have. still 1 star, NOT something I would recommend! edit 2 - "let there be light": found soldering iron, connected wire, there's light after flipping switch. connected a black and decker wireless screwdriver BDCS20 to charge. will update in a while if it is more than just a light Last update: It "works". It charged my flimsy screwdriver. I am not going to test it with anything big, nor am I going to check actual voltage. Me needing to open the BADLY BUILT thing and RE-WIRE any part in a completed product is more than enough to earn this negative stars.

Compre este transformador para una plancha de pelo. y me ha sido muy util, en casa tenemos luz 110V y utilizo el transformador para convenrtirla en 220V

No funciono. Intente usarlo dos veces para convertir de un aparato de 220V a 110V y ambas veces se tronaron los fusibles.
