SmartGames Squirrels Go Nuts! – Sliding Travel Puzzle Game, Ages 6+

Squirrels Go Nuts! is a cute and fun single-player logic game that’s become a favorite in our household. One of my favorite things about it is the size—it’s compact enough to toss in a bag and bring along to a restaurant or while traveling, making it a great screen-free option on the go. The age range seems spot on. My 6-year-old can handle the easier puzzles with just the right amount of challenge, while the harder levels keep my older kids interested and thinking critically. Highly recommended for families or anyone who enjoys a good brain teaser in a small package

My six year old enjoys the starter level puzzles, my 9 and 10 year olds like the junior and expert levels and my husband and I like trying the master and wizard levels. And the 3 year old thinks the squirrels and acorns are cute. So, it’s a win for the whole family!

Bought these for kids to play as we go outside so they dont just spend time on cellphones. Did the trick a little bit but my kids lost patience after 2 games. Not the toys' fault; just my kids are too addicted to phones. Game itself is very well made and well designed. My 4.5yo can solve the 1st four games almost instantly. Size is larger than I thought but not too bad if we carry a regular size backpack anyway. The only con is that the pieces are relatively small, I do worry we would lose some at restaurant. Risk is low if adults supervise on the side. Overall great purchase and I bought extra for my nieces.

We own a few Smart games games including Little Red Riding Hood and Temple Connections, and my daughter loves them because they are so tactile and imaginative. She generally finds the pathway games (like the other two mentioned) easier and more engaging than this one. She gets a bit frustrated and I have to engage with her much more to reset the puzzle if she gets it wrong (whereas in the other two, the basic puzzle is set and doesn't move). But to be fair she's a bit younger than the recommended age for this, so I think she'll grow into it. However, she loves the acorns which have a truly marvelous feel and sound. My main comment is that, for a travel game, having open holes for the very small acorns to fall through seems like a questionable choice. I would not bring this on an airplane or any traveling situation that could involve turbulence. If I had one suggestion to the manufacturer it would be to put a little silicone cap underneath the holes (like those popper fidget thingies), so it would keep the acorns from potentially falling away but you could also push the acorns up from the bottom. Otherwise, it's fun and really sturdily built. Great choice for any kid who loves puzzles!

We love pulling out a few of these puzzle games as a family and working on them. They're so satisfying to solve and fun to pass the time. Also great to throw in your purse and take in the car.

My 5 year old loves this game (as do I)! It just arrived this morning and he has been playing non stop for over an hour. Not only are the characters adorable, but they are easy to maneuver, the size of the game is perfect, and the puzzles are challenging. We are looking at purchasing more SmartGames - highly recommend!

Really test our creativity and thinking skills. Bought for kids but try to play with it. The expert games are harder for adults too.
