I prepared them with a basil, tomato paste, seared peppers and onion sauce, and they retained a soft texture and great taste. The only thing worth noting is a slight graininess compared to having beef-based meatballs, but I find that it's pretty common in this specific category of food.They are delicious, easy and satisfying for their calorie count.
