MHP, Probolic-SR Sustained Release Bio-Efficient Protein, 56 Servings

I have used this product for years. I am not a professional athlete but I do spend quite a bit of time in the gym. They have recently changed this formula. It now tastes, smells, and behaves just like a casein protein powder. I know there's casein in it but it behaves like other %100 casein protein powders. If you've ever used casein protein powder you know that it's clumpy, foamy and sticky, more so than whey products. This product used to be smooth, I could just put it in my shaker bottle and go but I believe that this new formula should be blended in a blender. If I put it in my Blender Bottle (I usually mix it with 1% milk) it takes me a really really long time to shake it so that it is mixed well. Sometimes even after I shake it for a long time I open the lid to drink it and out comes dry powder. After I shake the hell out of it AGAIN and finally drink it, quite a bit of it is stuck to my teeth, the sides and lid of my Blender Bottle. I have to scrub it to get it clean as where before I could just quickly rinse it. I loved the taste of Probolic before they changed the formula and it tastes different now but it is still quite tasty and I find myself craving it. The smell reminds of cotton candy. I have used the vanilla and strawberry in the past as well but have not had any since the formula has changed. Just a note, Probolic is geared towards professional bodybuilders. I recommend reading / comparing the amino acid profile to other protein powders. I think you'll find that Probolic has a much higher content of amino acids (as much as 10 times the amount in other protein powders) than most protein powders and you may not require that much protein. I will buy this again despite the formula change and would recommend it to others.

I use it to keep muscles from going Catabolic at night, so I use only 1 scoop of it before bed in 20fl oz of milk, I highly recommend milk as it adds even more nutrients to the shake, very thick though but very tasty. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND A SHAKER BOTTLE! I take one scoop of this every night as part of my set of workout nutrients, and it does well as I like to sleep in a bit so it's nice to know it will keep working during then. The addition of CLA and other goodies is also great, so I can reduce how many CLA pills I need to take, and it has BCAA, and other goodies.

Man, I've been back in the gym for 3 weeks now. I just started taking this product 4 days ago and my last couple of workouts have been undoubtedly STRONGER. Much more energy and I feel stronger, without a doubt. I do feel like that my heart has been beating a little faster during the day, not sure if there is any correlation or not, but I think this stuff is making me feel a little jittery. I was taking two scoops per day and I'm going to scale back to one starting today.This stuff is certainly more chalky than Isopure, but it is not as tough to swallow as so many of the reviews claim. It takes about 60 seconds of stirring and there might still be a little bubble at the top of the glass, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to drink and impressed by the chocolate flavor. I just add tap water.

Excellent flavor but a complete pain to mix. I've tried all different methods and really the only way to get this to mix well is either a blender and adding it slowly or stirring while you add slowly into your shaker. Other than that this product is top notch for good clean protein.

I have used Micell Edge (iron-tek product) for years, when it recently went on back order, I had to try something new. Another website suggested this to replace it. It doesn't even compare. This product, which may work well, could be the worse tasting thing EVER. This product doesn't mix well and tastes like Chalk(with vanilla flavoring). I wish I could return, I will never use this again.

I've tried quite a few different "muscle" supplements, including popular ones such as BSN Syntha-6, Muscle Milk, Cytogainer (awful), whey (Designer Whey, GNC, Precision Engineered, EAS, Twin Labs, a few others...), and a whole bunch of other stuff. Well, now I know better - I've found that whey + slow release protein is the way to go.I might sound like an obsessive bodybuilder (I'm not - not that there's anything wrong with that), but as a naturally thin person who starts losing muscle mass at the slightest bits of inactivity, I find that maintaining lean muscle is oftentimes half the battle - something that I think is a problem for thin people in general.Probolic is sort of a cure-all for muscle loss. Not only does it have a chock full of fast and slow release proteins, but lots of other stuff that's great for you, including Omega 3's, CLA (which shows fat burn over time), MCTs, glutamine (I'm probably missing some)... and of course, many critical amino acids, all of which digest very well, so no bloating (unlike some other supplements). No real need to hit the other muscle supplements with this thing - one scoop per serving does it for me, but if you need it, two scoops at a time will go a long way. I've been using this for a few months, and the difference is amazing.I take a serving in the morning when I get up, Optimum Nutrition whey after workouts, and one more serving of Probolic at night. As I stated - if one scoop isn't enough, use two.The only downside is, in comparison to Syntha-6, Muscle Milk, and ON Whey, this stuff could definitely taste much better. The mixture is on the thick side (chalky, almost), which makes it worse. I recommend mixing it up with half water, half skim milk to thin it out while keeping calories in check and improving the taste. Considering how well Probolic works, though, I think it's worth it. Just... stay away from the "cookies n' creme" flavor. Stick with vanilla.If you can get over the taste - I highly recommend it.
