The guides are a good heavy quality metal. The directions are basic and could be more detailed for some but I already knew how it installed. These do need space underneath the drawer to attach or otherwise you might need the side attachment soft close hardware. Therefore, check your cabinets. If you have an older style cabinet it may not work.
