Will these work with seed beads?

Well these are crimp covers are for the end of the necklace to cover to actual crimp used to finish off the necklace. So I have not used these to cover seed beads.

Do these squeeze together ? Do you use a crimping tool ?

I often use a crimping tool to position the knot cover so I can slide the knot inside and position it. Then I VERY GENTLY squeeze the cover about halfway closed and finish with another set of pliers so I can apply the perfect amount of pressure. It is very easy to go too far.

Are these lead free or less than 6% lead?

Is there a specific tool that I can purchase on Amazon that will close these perfectly ?

Yes there are several tool you could buy from Amazon. I would recommend pliers with a nylon jaw. It won't scratch the cramps bead. It will give your project a more professional look.

Crimp covers are small

I have bought these before or so I thought. They are not as wide as others so it is hard to get them on your crimp bead. I smash them not close them. I have a great crimping tool so that is not the problem. These are the only crimp covers that I have ever had a problem with. I bought five packs so I have a lot of unhappy days ahead of me. Do Not Buy. Not happy with these. Will look for others before I buy again.
