The product range outweighs the slight clunkiness of the interface.
It's OK, it's relatively easy to install. The password is restricted to 14 characters which is less than Apple autogenerate, and the gateway requires ethernet cable to router. The interface is slightly clunky, but the range of product that links to it is good and it's worth persevering. You do need to use the enclosed instructions.

Cheaper than other supplier's
That said, it's a pretty simple looking bit of kit so I would find it difficult to pay more. It does a good job of setting and scheduling the heating.

A great idea, But.
This Salus UG600 Universal Smart Home Gateway, is a very great idea, But first you need to understand and then know, what it can connect to. I moved into a newly build flat which had Salus thermometer set on the walls. But the ones I have, do not connect to the Salus UG600 Universal Smart Home Gateway. If I what yo use the Gateway system I may have to get a heating engineer to come and change the Salus temperature boxs to one which can be ground and connect to the Salus UG600 Universal Smart Home Gateway and then to the app. So I can control all from the app.
