Le Creuset Wine Cooler Sleeve, Black

Really like this, purchased several as gifts. A friend gave me one for my birthday & it works really well. Never have tested its cooling capacity beyond 1-2 hours, as the wine/champagne is consumed by then. This fits perfect over champagne bottles. Works best of any I have every had.

I have had several wine coolers over the years, including the silvery gel types (Vacu Vin Rapid Ice Wine Chiller, Chrome) that are effective but are and feel cheap, and various ones from other sources as parts of wine promotions. This one is the best of them all because it is substantial and study but works very well.It is sturdier than the silver gel type because it has a thick, durable cover and elastic on the sides. There is a much smaller risk of accidental puncture, and it stretches to fits bottles better with less risk of tearing. After using it dozens of times, I find that it looks the same as new, whereas the gel type get worn around the edges and start to feel as if they will disintegrate.It works better than the gel type, too. I suspect that this is because it has more gel substance volume, and also fits snugly around the top to help chill more of the bottle. The only drawback is that it is black and thus might be slightly inferior in sunshine since it would warm up faster than the silver type. However, it's usually easy enough to set it in a slightly shaded area.Given that it costs 2x as much as the silver gel variety, one could go either way, but if you plan to use it more than a few times, I think this one wins for being much more durable and thus a better buy in the long run (and also more effective and attractive along the way). I happily just ordered a second one to be a backup and to get rid of my silver get variety. Cheers!

Convenient and exactly as described

We have 3 of these bottle chillers and use them often. Elastic bands on each side allow it to fit on any 750ml bottle, including Champagne bottles. Great to use for picnics, bbq’s, etc..

I keep this bottle sleeve in the freezer so it is ready to use when we open a bottle of champagne. It fits a champagne bottle fine. I can leave the bottle out in its sleeve and serve/refill guests' glasses as needed. Handy, practical thing to have at home and for picnics. But be aware that it does not have a bottom, so make sure to hold the bottle itself when lifting. I always enjoy Le Creuset items.

I bought this as a gift for my mom and we used it for the first time a couple days ago when we went to a winery - we bought a bottle to enjoy outside and we were extremely happy with how cold and for how long this kept the wine bottle, esp since it was such a hot day. We stayed for over an hour and it stayed chilled the whole time. It’s also great that the whole sleeve can lay flat so it can fit in a freezer even where there’s not a lot of room.

This is hands down my favorite wine accessory. I take this thing to the park, on picnics, camping etc. It keeps your wine chilled for at least an hour and is a great outdoor accessory. I've unfortunately lost one in the past and I replaced it immediately because it's become such a staple on my weekends. Would also make a great gift for the wine lover

Meilleure invention depuis le pain tranché!Chic et élégant ce produit garde le vin frais et n'est pas du tout encombrant. L'idéal pour les journées d'été et les soirées entre amis, c'est d'en acheter 2, ainsi lorsqu'un des deux est devenu trop chaud, on peut sortir le deuxième du congélateur!

I lost my similar wine cooler (which I bought on holiday in France so I was a tad upset) when I was packing up the house to go overseas. This works just as well. Keep it in the freezer than put your white wine in it before visiting your local BYO restaurant. No need for a restaurant wine cooler!
