My husband and I love magic and we are in the process of learning how to build our own decks, this is perfect for beginners and we got great cards too.

This is absolutely a great value for the money. What is great about these boxes is you have everything you need to build your own deck (or a couple). My son recently got into magic so I got one for him , and one for me. The other kids then wanted to play as well. We were able to get a few decks built out of each of these boxes . This is a super value as a gift or if you want to build your own current deck.

TL;DR -Good for new players -Cool Box -Essentially a bunch of lands and throwaway cards for experienced players -Great gift idea for any magic fan. This product will really be more valuable to a newer player. The thing you have to understand with Magic is that it is always in a rotation of what cards are legal for play. Every year in the Fall the oldest 4 expansions will become outdated. Ravnica Allegiance is currently the newest one (War of the Spark is coming out soon though) so Ravnica cards will legal until Fall 2020. The boosters are random and you can get older sets like Dominaria or Ixalan. Those cards won't be legal in fall 2019. If you need basic lands and you're new to the game and are excited to play this spring and summer this is a great buy. If you're a salty experience player, well you already know that you don't need this unless you specifically want the box which is pretty handy and can carry around 4 decks. It could be a good gift for any magic fan experienced or not, I do not think anyone would object to receiving this as a gift if that's what you're looking at it for.

Although delivery was fast, the carboard package/box came in really rough shape; completely unusable to use for storing your collection. The shrink-wrapped cards were sealed and protected nicely inside, but every corner of the package was crunched in (thank you free Amazon shipping). Lots of land (including dual colors), a handful of OK rares, a dozen uncommons, 1 mythic rare. Plenty of cards to build a couple of decks, maybe enough for a commander deck with the right legendary creature/planeswalker out of a pack.

Not something that people with an existing collection would want, but perfect for new players. About 80% common, 20% uncommon, no rare or mythic.

Got it for my brother because he lost his entire collection. He didn’t get anything amazing. All average cards.

They have 4 booster packs from the latest sets. The cards are pretty nice, but they could have given more lands.

Lo compré en $326 y valió cada centavo. Ahora no sé si pagaría lo que cuesta actualmente. Pero de que es un buen inicio para armar un deck, lo es. Yo armé dos decks y sobraron muchas cartas

I started playing tabletop magic the gathering and found this product very useful as it has a lot more cards to use. The cards I had before I could not yet play because I did not have enough mana and combos, but now I can make multiple decks with ease.
