Game changer.
Overall As a unit I have given this a five star and this is based on how I wanted to use it. I had around 400 cassette tapes from my youth in the back of a cupboard that had became redundant. I read some of the reviews and questions and I based my purchase on these. 1. Some of the answered questions are wrong. This does NOT come with phono outputs. It only has a headphone socket. 2. I does not come with instructions as stated on the box (mine didn’t anyway). 3. The Bluetooth function works as a receiver and not an output to a Bluetooth amp. ( I purchased the unit believing this was the case). As a unit on its own to play cassette tapes it’s fairy basic. The sound quality is fair and the bass is ok. The radio works perfectly well and the Bluetooth function connects well to your phone or IPad. This does help improve the sound quality. The stars I gave it are for using the unit on its own. However. The game changer for me was raking through a box of spare cables and I found a headphone to phono cable socket. I connect this in to a spare input on my Sony amp and hey presto it sprang into action. This has now given my cassette tape collection a news lease of life and I look forward to hearing some old classics in the way they are meant to be heard. I’m absolutely delighted how it has all linked up. As I’ve said on its own you pay your money and you get what you pay for and the £30 tag is value for money if using it in a garage kitchen or to take outside. Once connected to the amp then BOOM this becomes an amazing unit.

Great looking if nothing else ...
Love the look of this and would buy it again for this reason alone - but the sound isn't great. Too tinny and no bass at all. Still fun though!

Good quality product.
I am really pleased with this item it’s very well made using good quality components and it is solid. The sound is satisfactory but more bass would be better. It’s just great to be able to play all those old tapes. Perfect for home or a caravan. The radio is great and the added option of Bluetooth and SD card is incredible. I love that it also has a built in microphone so you can record live to a tape. Well worth the money. It would be nice if they made a bigger version with a built in cd play as well as tape and powerful bass speakers.

You get what you pay for!
I’ve given this three stars because of the quality of the product. I read a load of reviews about this item, some good and some bad so I thought for £35 I’d give it a go. Like other people say, it’s not a full sized boom box. It’s really only around 12” long. This personally didn’t bother me as I had the perfect spot for it in my kitchen. I liked the feature of Bluetooth (there’s also an input for an sd card which I wasn’t interested in) (1st star). The whole reason behind the purchase - like many other reviewers, was so I could play some old tapes from the 90’s which I’d found. I was so excited when the item arrived next day. Really quick delivery (2nd star). I tried the radio first which tunes in really well. I was also able to connect the Bluetooth very easily. There is a bass feature which I put all the way up and when I turned the volume up, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the speakers (3rd star) Now for the downside. The whole reason I bought this item was A - the price and B - the tape deck The play button on the tape deck arrived already broken ☹️ Sooooooo disappointed 😭 Back it went!! Thankfully I have been approved for a refund so just waiting for that to arrive. Looks like I’m off to Curry’s for a 60 quid one. Double the price but probably better quality.

Cassette boombox
Wanted this player mainly to play audio cassettes, for £25 wasn’t expecting too much, but was really surprised with the build quality of this. Beautifully made, much heavier than you’d think, great radio, sound is crystal clear. Cassette deck soft open. Not tried the digital mp3 functions , to really bring the cassettes back to life I plugged in a 3.5 mm jack cable to an audio in on the Hi Fi, or a good external Bluetooth speaker ( Bose ), note this player is a Bluetooth receiver , not a transmitter. Brilliant buy

Even has SW bands!!
Since I still use analog tape as well as digital equipment for my recording and playback of music, I bought this device and it's like a Blast from the Past- like a well made radio cassette from the '70's but with more extras than I can list here- the Shortwave capability is a gas!! The device also accepts SD cards and USB devices. Well worth the money.

Great looking machine, but terrible cassette playback.
I purchased two of these. The first had good sound quality and ok-ish playback on cassette tapes. Not great, but ok for the cost. A month or so in though, it started eating tapes. I returned it as defective and ordered a replacement. Right out of the box, the first tape was played at the wrong speed (too fast) and then ate the tape. The radio function had good sound and loud volume in my kitchen, but I didn't get it for the radio or USB function. I bought it to play cassettes and it just doesn't deliver. Save your money—and your tapes!—and go for a different machine.

Missing battery cover
There is only one thing that I was disappointed with about this product , when my partner opened it on Christmas Day there was no cover for the batteries and on the box it showed a cover for batteries. Other than that it works very well, sound is fantastic and definitely great value for money. Had it come complete then it would of been 5 star rating.
