If you are using a sword in the rain I think rust should be the last of your worries.

No it won't hurt the wood, but I would avoid getting it on the wood too much because it will attract dirt and dust more and darken the wood.

What cani use to remove the burn marks off of my 357 magnum tube magazine

Have the same issues on the cylinder of my 44 mag. Believe it or not the best thing I have found is just a good old pencil eraser. The bigger pink ones work the best.
