An estimated 20% of the population are "non-secretors" and until a few months ago, I didn't know how that could affect me. 2'FL is a prebiotic produced by the bodies of the other 80% of the population, and it keeps the bugs in their gut happily reproducing and doing their job in our bodies. For those of us with impaired or non-existent production of 2'FL, the good bugs aren't happy, or they just moved out of our tummys in droves to seek greener pastures. Specfically for me, as a non-secretor, I showed very low levels of bifido in my microbiome, as evidenced by lifelong histamine sensitivity, gut dysbiosis, functional B12 deficiency, and low measured levels of bifido in a couple stool tests (although let's face it, stool tests are very hit or miss.) When I discovered my FUT2 gene status, I did my homework and connected the dots between my symptoms and past lab results, and decided I had to try this product. This 2'FL product provides the prebiotic that my body can't produce itself. So the theory is it should make the bugs in my gut happy, and then the rest of the body should benefit as well. After a couple months on this product, I can say my health has significantly improved. With 2'FL on board, active B12, more bifido probiotic supplementation, liver support, and an effort to subdue an overgrowth of "bad" bugs in my gut; I have seen a clear improvement in my health. You typically can't relate shifts in health to just one change. I believe the benefit I have seen is a result of taking a balanced approach to my issues. 2'FL has clearly been an important part of it. I plan to continue it for some time, and recommend it to anyone else with similar health challenges.

It may be too soon to tell, but I think these are responsible for me feeling a lot better for the last 6 days. The first two days I took these I had plenty of stomach rumblings, a mild feeling of tightness in my abdomen, and headaches in the afternoon... i almost stopped taking them but continued to in hopes that those were die-off symptoms or at least evidence that something was happening. From Day 3 forward I’ve had an unusual amount of energy and focus (my primary issues caused by poor digestion). I’ll try to update this review since I admit it’s a little early to tell, but I’m very happy about how well I’ve been feeling and wanted to share that with others. My primary digestive problems have been an inability to digest sugar and most carbs. If I eat a keto diet I can live a functional life but I’m motivated to address the root cause. As many of you know, western medicine doesn’t have much to say to people like me, so I’ve tried every probiotic/digestive enzyme/crazy leaky gut cure out there over the last 8 years and this is the most optimistic I’ve been.

I bought this for my husband, who is a FUT2 non-secretor. I had read this was a good product for people with the mutation, but can’t say we have noticed a difference yet.

This product was purchased to help calm my system. I tried other over-the-counter options spanning several days, including ones which have a lot of "stuff" in them, none worked. The first dose calmed my system for 24 hours. So I took another one and it worked. All is well. I especially like that it's all natural, no manufactured ingredients. The flavor is very palatable [I used regular tap water]. There have been no side effects or reactions from this product. It definitely helped me.

I have had a problem with irritable bowel syndrome and acid reflux for several years. I have tried diet, supplements and prescription medication to help with these issues. These things have helped some but not enough. There were still to many bad days and so I've always been searching for that pill or diet or powder that would get me more good days than bad. Well, this product has done exactly what I've been hoping for. I've been using holigos, for six weeks now and it has made a huge difference almost from day one. I now have maybe one bad day in a two week period and I only take half a pill to help with my acid reflux. I am very happy with my results and will continue to use holigos, for the rest of my life.

Felt worse while taking this than I did before. There more urgency and frequency. If that's expected, I havent got time in my lifestyle to RUN to the restroom so many times.

I have been looking for a product that contains 2'-fucosyllactose since I found out that my FUT2 polymorphism non-secretor status may be a contributing factor to my life-long IBS. At first, I wasn't sure this product was for me since it was causing such gas/bloating/constipation. But as soon as I started taking two Lactaid capsules with it, that problem went away (I am lactose intolerant due to gut damage). I read on Holigos website that lactose intolerant people *may* have problems with Holigos, but many do not. But as for me, the Lactaid ended the gas/bloating/constipation. Now I am noticing no side effects, and my bowel habits have mostly normalized. I feel my health slowly improving. I look forward to my overall health getting better and better as time goes by.

I am repurchasing. As anyone with gut issues knows, it’s hard to identify the cause of problems as well as the solutions, but I believe this product has helped a lot. I try a lot of products that seem to do nothing. I would recommend it. EDIT: Having repurchased Holigos Digestive Health 3x times already, I decided to try the Holigos IBS (the same company's other product). I figured, hey, if it's even more powerful maybe it'll be even more effective. Mistake - the other one made my bloating/gas worse. So I'm sticking to Holigos Digestive which has been very helpful for me.
