Gold Bond Cream, Rough & Bumpy Daily Skin Therapy Cream, 8 oz. Moisturizer

This rough and bumpy lotion is something I picked up because I struggle with keratosis pilaris on my arms, collarbone, rear, and upper thighs, and it can be really persistent and frustrating to manage. I had heard good things about this formula in particular and wanted to see if it would actually make a difference in my routine. The texture is very thick and slightly sticky, and it definitely leaves a tacky feeling if it is applied to completely dry skin. I found it works much better when applied right after a shower while the skin is still damp, since it spreads more easily and absorbs more comfortably that way. It is not a “lightweight” lotion by any means, but that is also part of what makes it effective for this type of concern. Looking at the ingredient list, this is very much an exfoliating and barrier-supporting body treatment rather than a basic moisturizer. It contains a mix of chemical exfoliants like gluconolactone (a gentle PHA), ammonium lactate (lactic acid derivative), and salicylic acid, which together help smooth rough texture and loosen the buildup that contributes to KP. It also includes moisturizing and soothing ingredients like urea derivatives, shea butter, petrolatum, aloe, panthenol, and bisabolol to help counterbalance the exfoliation and reduce irritation. The overall formula is doing a lot of “work” at once: exfoliating, hydrating, and sealing moisture in. In terms of results, I’m not completely bump-free, but there is a noticeable improvement in texture and smoothness, enough that I wish I had taken before-and-after photos because I think it would have shown up clearly. It feels like a product that needs consistent use, but it is actually moving the needle for me, which is not always the case with KP treatments. Price at time of review: $11.97

I've been using this product for a month and so far it's magnificent 👌 u have dry patches on the back of my thighs and every thing I've tried up until now did not work. This stuff is so good. No more dryness just smooth baby 😏 I love it.

My dermatologist recommended this product by name, and he was right! I love that it has helped get my dry, cracked skin on my hands to be smoother and never bleed again. I use it a few times a day, but if I forget, my skin is a mess again. That is my proof that it is working on my dry patches. It has no fragrance, it absorbs very quickly, and it is a life-saver. The jar is huge, and I don't think I'll ever go through it all in my lifetime! I only use a small amount, rub it a few minutes (it has exfoliators), and off I go. I am very happy, and call it an excellent value for the money, and I will tell all my friends to buy it!

Good cream

I have used Gold Bond products in the past. They are good products but I haven't found any that were unscented. So I never bought more. I took a chance buying this huge tub of lotion. And it is big. I ordered anyway. I am amazed at the cream. It is more like a lotion when you apply it. Thin when it's applied, which I like. Not like working paste into your skin. I bought it for a problem area on my elbow and arm. Before long I was putting it on my feet, the next day on my hands, and then last evening on my face. What a wonderful cream. Usually when I use a lotion or cream I have to go wash my hands and face as I can "feel" it and find it annoying. Not this product, it actually felt good. It soothed my burning hands, calmed the patch on my arm and elbow and my face feels like silk the day after the nighttime use. Now this is a new product to me, so I will attempt to give you an update in about a month. My husband has very dry feet, so I told him he should give it a try, as a very high end product I bought for him feels good, but isn't doing anything to improve his situation. You should at least give it a try if you are looking for an all around good lotion or cream. I buy a high end cream at the beauty counter at a high end department store (or can be found a major beauty stores). I love it but find it costly, this tub of cream worked just like that and felt just as good. I was near the point of reordering but think I will continue the use of Gold Bond Ultimate Rough and Bumpy Skin Daily Therapy Skin Cream and see what happens. It would cost me thousands of dollars to fill this 8 oz. tub with the product I was using on my face. So far so good and am surprised at my reaction to this product. I did know Chattem, Inc. was a very old company and thought this might really be a good product, but took a chance when I bought it. From my short term experience, I don't think you can go wrong with this product. It does have a slight smell, which I can't smell, but my husband says it is very mild and non offensive. I usually use unscented products due to chemical sensitivity problems. I am able to use this without it making me ill or just finding the smell offensive.

I've tried many different AHA & BHA lotions and creams for rough skin. I must say, this Gold Bond cream is hands-down THE best in terms of results and value. The closest comparison would be amlactin, which is far more expensive and doesn't smell nearly as nice. CeraVe and Cetaphil's formulas aren't as good as this one, results take far longer to achieve. This lotion makes skin so soft, it absorbs beautifully, and the cost is fantastic. So long as the formula stays the same, I plan on buying this always. The quality and effectiveness of this cream sparked my curiosity with other Gold Bond formulas. Prior, it wasn't a brand I had much interest in as I associated it with medicated powders and stinky lotions. They have actually expanded their product lines, and have some great products for both body and face. Check them out! It can be hard to get quality products at this price point with other brands. 06/22 I've now purchased this lotion three times. I don't use it daily anymore; more like 1-3 times per week. When I first purchased this, I was using it most days. It didn't take long for my skin to be as soft as I can recall in 39 years!! No, I'm not being paid or given free product (I wish!) The results are fantastic, and my skin has stayed this way. It's thick, but it doesn't irritate my skin, have a foul smell (some "fragrance free" products smell like sour vomit), and while it does have a slight smell on application, it fades quickly. I can also use this cream regardless of the weather or temperature. It performs well during all activities, and has never clogged my pores. A tub lasts me about 2 months. Longer now as I don't have to use it as frequently. If you struggle with KP, or dry, textured skin, BUY THIS! I will continue to purchase so long as it's available. And it better be! this product is excellent in the sense that it works very well. Smooths your skin out and is soooo hydrating. Zero complaints EXCEPT one big one: It smells like ten cans of sour pickles! Upon first sniff there’s nothing crazy going on but once I let it marinate on me there was quite the shift in attitude. I was in my car and I kept getting whiffs of something a little stale and a little sour. I thought it was my air filter but I just changed it. Turns out it’s this lotion. No one has said I smell bad and I don’t see people scrunch up their nose, l but im just not appreciating how I smell like Chanel number 5 and Mt. Olive kosher dill pickles. Maybe some people have had a different experience, but I just put it on at night so the smell isn’t as intense in the morning. It’s a great product but the company needs to do something about the sewer drain scent coming out from that jar. Maybe it’s reacting with my pheromones but I just don’t think that’s the case Edit: I’m noticing that I’m starting to use the product less because of the smell. I’m so irritated cause the product is working so well for me but I smell like fish-fil-a and I really do need to knock on Gold Bonds door and ask if they tried walking outside in their own lotion and if they’re really okay with smelling like rain puddles and fog. I had this product at 4 stars but I’m demoting it to 3 stars due to my own aggravation with not only the product, but now the company cause they’re allowing people to walk around smelling insane and think it’s okay.

This is legit. The skin on my knees, elbows, and bottom of my butt is rough and has bumps. I believe it's because I have Keratosis Pilaris (KP). Got this back in April or May, and as of July, both my knees and right elbow are smooth. My left elbow, on the other hand, is being a little stubborn and is taking a little more time, but even then I feel a difference, although it's not completely smooth yet. I use it 4-5 times a week.

Quality at a good price

Es funktioniert. Ich habe mein Leben lang am Po und an den Beinen rote Punkte, teilweise Pickelchen, Probleme mit super empfindlicher Haut nach dem Rasieren, eingewachsene Haare, Haarentfernung war eine Qual. Diese Creme hat zwar Silikonöl drin, was ich sonst immer vermeide, aber die Inhaltsstoffe sind viel sinniger als Amlactin, was ja auch gegen Keratinosis pilaris helfen soll, aber nur viel Milchsäure enthält. Gold Bond Rough and Bumpy hat viel Shea Butter drin, und verschiedene Säuren. Es ist also eine Art chemisches Peeling mit starker Feuchtigkeitspflege dabei. Es riecht mir nicht unangenehm, eher ein bisschen nach Rosinen. Es enthält keine Duftstoffe! Das ist echt super bei meiner empfindlichen Haut. Man braucht nicht viel, das Hautgefühl ist nach dem gründlichen Auftragen schon ein bisschen sticky, aber bei Berührung super zart (Silikonöl eben). Ich habe es gestern Abend vorm Schlafengehen benutzt, es kribbelt ein bisschen nach dem Auftrag, aber das lässt schnell nach und ich habe super zarte Haut nach dem Aufwachen gehabt, die Rumpelecken sind viel glatter. Irre. Auch eben nach dem Rasieren hat es meine Haut super vertragen, normalerweise geht da gar nix ohne Brennen und Rasurbrand. Rote Stellen lassen wirklich nach. Ich benutze es jetzt mal ein paar Wochen zweimal täglich und melde mich zurück. Wäre nur echt gut, wenn es nicht so ein Riegel wäre, aber so kann man eben auch wirklich alles aufbrauchen. Ich bin Privatkäuferin und bekomme kein Geld für diese Rezension. Ich wünschte, ich könnte diese Creme im Handel kaufen, wie in den USA und England...

Llevo 3 días usando la crema y estoy realmente sorprendida, tengo eczema y la estoy usando solamente en las zonas donde tengo la piel muy reseca y mucha comezón. La textura de mi piel ha mejorado notablemente y me ha disminuido la comezón, la estoy usando 3 a 4 veces al día. Estoy esperanzada.

It's a repurchase

Je suis très stupaifaite de la qualité ! Il m a en quelques jours régler bon nombres de problèmes. Ce serait intéressant de voir plus de produits de cette marque sur Amazon France parce que je lis sur internet et j en vois que du bien. Je ne peux que pleinement le recommander. Happy !!
