The HOTCOLOR 952 Printhead Replacement for HP Officejet Pro 8710 exceeded my expectations! Installation was straightforward, and it fit perfectly without any issues. Once set up, the print quality was fantastic, with vibrant colors and sharp text that rivaled the original HP printhead. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it works just as well as the more expensive options. Plus, the value for money is outstanding. I highly recommend this printhead replacement for anyone looking to restore their printer's performance!

This was my second print head from this supplier, the first one would not print cyan so I returned it. The 2nd print head worked for approximately 3 weeks before I had a failure message stating I was missing the Cyan cartridge. Upon investigation of the issue I found the lock that holds the cartridge in had broken. Then the Yellow lock broke and lastly the Black cartridge lock broke. Also I noticed the print head was leaking and wasting a lot of ink. Both times I had to replace this print head I had to purchase new ink at a total cost of $250 out of pocket waisted. Skip this print head and get Genuine HP products

It is difficult to rate something when there is an expectation of it having a long service life and it is still new. However, the print head was well packaged, easy to install, and functioned like new. Accordinly, from that standpoint it was likely worthy of five stars. However, I downrated my rating to four stars because I expected to receive a set of ink cartridges and did not. Read below for more details. Regarding the listing, there are several possible causes for confusion. First, the top image depicts the the print head and a box of ink cartridges. Second, twice in the description located above "About this item," it states "2PK for HP 952 printhead." Third, in the section "About this item," it states "1. Package 1 Pack ..." Fourth, it is worth noting that the HP part number for the print head is M0H91A. The designation HP 952 (or HP 952XL) is the part number for the ink cartridges (there are four colors designated C, M, Y, and K). The HP 952 cartridges are used in numerous HP printers that use more than one model of print head, so designating a print head by cartridge number HP 952 is insufficient to to be correct. Accordingly, although the image and description information is somewhat inaccurate and somewhat confusing, the image itself appears to indicate that the print head comes with a set of Hotcolor brand ink catridges. Also worth noting is that HP manufactures the print head (or has it manufactured). The box my printhead was packaged in was marked Inkland. It is also possible that the print head may have been repackaged or remanufactured by Inkland. However, it contained no markings whatsoever related to Hotcolor. So, it definitely appears the brand Hotcolor is related to ink cartridges and not the print head. Related to me, when I did not receive a set of ink cartridges, I assumed it was a packaging omission and reordered a replacement order. When I received the second order without a set of ink cartridges, I assumed that the first order might not have been a packaging error.

I hate having to pay the cost of units like this, but it's a necessary evil. I was very surprised at the good quality of this print head and the ease of use. I didn't have to align the head. I just popped it in and the printer started working again.

I strongly encourage you to NOT buy this product. I chose it from the ones available on Amazon thinking since it cost a little more, I may be getting better quality. Not so! It was a refurbished unit. After running numerous test sheets, it never print a full quality test page. Finally, the tab that holds the blue ink cartridge in place broke. The head is totally unusable now. It broke 11 days outside my time to return the unit for a refund. I had to eat the $137 price. And I still need to purchase another another head.

I like the covers for the cartridge inlets to prevent the ink from going everywhere. Just maybe provide directions on how to prep for loading cartridges? Also, didn’t work first time (head wasn’t detected by printer), even after printer power cycle. Had to reseat the head, then was detected. Did alignment, and was off to the races. Do you take the old print heads in as a “core” for $ (similar to SLA batteries in cars)? Would like to get some $ back vs throwing away.

Read the negative reviews but hoped that they were flukes. Unfortunately, I immediately ran into issues. Printing test pages I had severe streaking in K C and M, and in the M test, some of the nozzles for C fired. Multiple printhead cleanings (level 1 and 2) didn't help. Unfortunately, will have to find a genuine HP replacement versus this compatible one.

There is no way this print head is remanufactured. It didn't work when arrived and new ink cartridges were put into the printer. No error messages just printed blank pages. Finally got around to returning it. Put in a return request and through the help of Amazon it was accepted. Put it into the printer before going to box it up and it starts working so I cancelled the approved return request. Two weeks later the print head fails again. I contact Amazon and they work with the Vendor who agrees to send me a replacement print head and for me to discard the defective one Hotcolor informs me the replacement will arrive Jun 9th. Logged in Jun 19th to see where it is. They say Amazon cancelled it. Amazon cancelled my first approved return request. I started having problems once again with the print head and had to put in a second replacement request. Amazon worked with the Vendor who did send it then cancelled it when Amazon did not. Hotcolor cancelled the replacement. I am so upset with this company and their false representation of a REMANUFACTURED print head. Contacted Amazon once again.
