I am elderly and had used biotin before to prevent hair loss. Biotin alone just did not work this time and my hairline receded and hair fell out and broke in clumps. I have always had brittle, very breakable hair. After some investigation I discovered that in older women the most likely cause for balding is a chemical you produce called DHT. As you grow older, you produce more of it and the hair follicles shrink and dry up. I have used this product for approximately 6 weeks and am halfway through my second bottle. It took about 3 weeks to see hair coming up through my scalp and at first thought it wasn't going to work at all. Since I started using this product, my hairline has grown back (about an inch more toward the forehead). I can see new hair throughout my scalp. The bald spots are gone. I also take green tea capsules with these vitamins. I was so depressed over so much hair loss and I feel much better now. One thing though. Even though I have lots of new hair, I am still losing and breaking hair. So this treatment is a first step. You do have to be very consistent with it and stick with it every day for at least a month. If you discontinue using these vitamins, your DHT production increases again and everything you did to fix the hair loss problem will be for nothing. Try it for a month. If you see new hair growth in that time, then you know that DHT was the problem.

Not sure why they changed formula. Pill was yellow and is now green. The new pill upsets my stomach. Aside from that I have been taking this supplement for well over a year and it does not increase hair growth at all. Will be discontinuing this due to new pill.

I have been using these vitamins for a couple weeks now. Vitamins normally take a few weeks to notice any difference. That being said, I have noticed that my hair isn't shedding through the day as bad. Slightly less in the shower, but not much of a change so far in that area. Light changes so far. I will continue on with this as the vitamin list on these is pretty kick-ass. I am hoping to see more improvements as I continue to use these.I also would like to state that even though these pills are pretty darn big, they are also pretty slick going down and I have not had any issues with swallowing these, so don't be put off by the size! I think these folks did a good job on making them easier to swallow for their size. Seriously, they are almost slimy when wet and just go right down without getting stuck. A nice surprise. LOL. I will update this review in a few weeks when I have had more time for my body to get used to these. I am hoping to increase to 5 stars! I only left 4 because there is a small change, nothing drastic like I am hopeful for! The shedding reduction is really good to see though. I was losing a LOT through the day, now it is just one or two here and there. That makes me happy. =)

I love this supplement! I started kissing my hair in clumps last May! I always had thick hair. This supplement truly works. My hair is thinking and growing. My hair stylist can’t believe my hair now. I started to notice the difference after 3 months. Now it’s crazy how thick my hair is. It takes time for your body to react and heal (whatever was going on). I’m going to keep taking it daily. It has so many great ingredients that have benefits. Loooove it!!

I was using Nutrafol for 4 months tried this one for 1 month and my hair began to fall out again. Wont be using this anymore.
