3M (3056) Trizact 3-2/3" x 9" 5000 Grit Performance Sandpaper

The product works great. I use it and the 3000 grit to remove small scratches from paint on cars and trucks. Shipping is very slow, but we had a freak 18 inch snowstorm on the North Carolina coast so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt this time.

Great for removing hard water spots on my shower glass without scratching them.

Used on an 05 Tacoma headlights. Sanded with 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, then Trizact 3000 and then this Trizact 5000. Finished with a coat of Turtle wax. It won’t last more than 6 months but the surface is smooth and all it’ll need then is cleaning and more wax. I think the 5000 is a little coarser than the #4 pad that comes with the Turtle Wax Headlight Restorer Kit. I’d have used Trizact 10,000 but amz was out of stock.

This is a nice product by 3-M. I have also purchased the 3,000 grit as well. These are used with wet sanding. They do not clog and give you a very nice finish. My only issue is they start breaking down quick. So I would be careful with how long you soak the pad and don't use anything but clean water. Sand paper is always going to break down with the grit is gone or wet/dry starts to break apart. So these are not better or worse as far as quality. But as far as these vs sand paper, I like these. Even though you only get 1 in the pack it is the same as a 5 pack of 3000 grit wet/or dry. Again you won't get the clogging which leads to swirl marks from trapped paint like in the regular sand paper.

3M always makes good stuff, and this 5000 grit paper is no different. I use it on hard clear plastics (like vehicle headlights, and scratched CD's) I use it as the final grit just before a cream buffing polish. It is Amazing.

These pads saved me a lot of hassle when I bought a home recently. The problem was all the outside windows were badly water etched and no amount of cleaning/lime away/vinegar etc would get it off. It always looked like water droplets had dried on the window. I thought I was going to have to replace the windows but decided to try these pads as a last resort with nothing to lose. The pads are superfine sandpaper with a rubbery backing and are very easy to use. Using soapy water I just kind of wiped down the window using the same motions and pressure as if cleaning it and BAM it worked great! I was able to recover every window to look like new, no scratches or marks just clean and shiny. I have recommended this to all my neighbors and friends as this problem is widespread in the area due to dust with rain [NV] and it has been a great success. Why this pad and not others? This was the only 5K I could find that did not have a thin paper backing which is hard to use when wet, the 1/4" rubber back makes it feel like a cleaning pad and easy to use.

Sandpaper, used wet, lasted a long time on paint chip repairs. Good value. Seller got it here in promised delivery time.

Excelente producto para obtener lijados finos. La lija es bastante resistente y duradera. Yo la use para desvanecer rayones en un parabrisas de acrílico de motocicleta y el acabado de esta lija lo deja bastante bien. Lo único que no me gusto es el olor que desprende durante su uso.

3M has a great reputation for making high quality products, this is no different. I haven't tried knock off brands, but I believe you get what you pay for. Still wish it was cheaper. Not sure if this is how you are suppose to, but I found that I could work a much larger surface area than 1500 or 2000 grit of the same size. So it does have that going for it.
