I bought this privacy film, because we started to get mold build up on our bathroom windows right behind the small curtain that covered them. But we also had a privacy concern, our bathroom faces the street and taking the curtain off also meant letting everybody look into our bathroom....So my wife found this product and so far, it has done a great job at keeping the bathroom well lit with natural sun light and very private at the same time.You don't need glue to stick this film to your windows, the product doesn't have any type of adhesive for that matter, it uses moisture. Simply, measure and cut the film to match your window, make sure the window (s) is clean, then spray some water onto the surface of the window, and apply the film; once on, you'll need a squeegee, but since you probably don't have one, I know, 'cause I don't....simply use a credit card to squeeze all the bubbles out and you're done. This film gives windows a foggy look, which will block sun rays, but will also let the room be lit, cutting on energy costs. The film won't allow strangers to look into your bathroom or whatever room you're using this in, I checked and could only see white shadows.After almost a week of constant showers, the film has remained in place, without peeling, not even a bit. I highly recommend this product, but make sure you spray a good amount of water onto the surface for a better grip. Good luck.

Ordered two of these for my back doors. I've installed several other brands window film. This one thicker and a little harder to use than others. 1st thing is I followed the directions based off of everyone's problems. I only used water and did not use soap which is very odd but I figured that's why other users had an issues with the film falling down later. I used a very firm solid squeegee with a fair amount of pressure. I don't see any major issues. I did leave about an inch of extra material on three sides and trimmed with a razor blade after I had it roughly in place. I then squeegeed for about 15 min per window.Overall it looks nice but its more opaque than I expected. The film is made in Germany and has a grid on the backing paper for easy cutting.

I have been on a quest to find some film that looks like reeded glass (the glass with wide vertical ribs reminiscent from the 20's & 30's). Some of the pictures and reviews gave me hope that this would be such a product. And it is, provided that you have terrible vision and it's dark. Since I was unable to find another alternative, this will have to do for now. At a glance, it doesn't look bad, but it does still look more like window film than frosted or patterned glass.Installation was pretty simple following the instructions. As another reviewer mentioned, you do need to cut it to size before attempting to install rather than attempting to trim it once it's in place. For the price and convenience, I can't really complain, though I will still keep an eye out for a pattern that is closer to what I've been searching for.

This film was easy to cut and install in my garage windows. We heard there has been a rash of garage break-ins and it is so easy for kids to just look in the windows of your garage to see if you have "good stuff" in your garage. Well, I looked around saw to golf clubs (which were never used), The ski equipment (which was never used), all the expensive tools (which were never used) and got over the impulse to put out a sign saying "Please steal HERE!" and instead measured out windows and found that this film fit perfectly in one direction. That meant all I had to do was cut it length-wise into 8 pieces. Clean, all 8 windows (4 windows on each of 2 garage doors) and apply following the simple directions. Have a squeegee handy to get out all the bubbles folks!

I wanted something easy to install to make a bathroom window more private. This item does not require any adhesive, or picky installation, just spritz a clean window and stick! I didn't want to use anything that could possibly damage my windows, and this product is just thin plastic, with nothing that could be damaging. The only issues I had installing this was through my own fault, my window was wider than the 11.75" of the film, so I had to cut an extra strip to cover the entire window, so the second strips on the windows are a little mis-measured and cut a bit crooked.All in all, I liked this product, it was a quick and easy project I did with my 10 year old daughter and it took almost no time at all. I look forward to trying some of the other patterns on other windows in my house.

Went onto windows easily, and remains stuck firmly. Great for our historic home as we did not want adhesive on the leaded glass. I was a bit disappointed that the film'a width was shy of what we needed to allow for vertical installation, but the stripes horizontally are fine. I did not feel I needed anything beyond a spray bottle, scissors, and a credit card for installation.

Easy home project. Helpful if you unroll and have something to hold it down in the preparation of cutting. Since it has lines vertically, very easy to keep straight. Bought with Gila RTK500 Window film application tool kit. Used for six sidelights on a front door that gave privacy and filtered sunlight. Each sidelight had slightly different measurements so I recommend to measure all twice to cut once. Have not seen issues mentioned by others during this long cold winter.

I didn't care for this product. I had bought something similar in the past and it was so much heavier and easier to use. The other product didn't have to be wet to be hung and I preferred that too. I did wet the surface and hung it but peeled off overnight. Another co-worker ended up using it and she had a little better luck with it. I was also hoping for something that gave a little bit of privacy but didn't totally block my view, but you can't see through this at all.

Bought it before. It does start to peel after a year ish but just in the corners. Rather than taking it off and reapplying I just taped it lolOne thing: it's a TAD small width wise for my sidelights. I hate the gap it leaves but eh...not a huge deal. Good stuff
