David Busch is a well established author of detailed camera operating manuals, which allow everyone from novices to experts get a hang of complicated camera's and their menus. He goes way beyond the very basic instructions in product manuals and explains difficult concepts which a beginner may find difficult to grasp in a clear, concise and lucid manner. Anyone who has bought or is contemplating buying the D5600 would do well to buy a copy of this detailed , yet simple to understand book, which would enable them to get a good hold over the camera , enabling them to get the best of the tool and improve their photography abilities.

Good book overall. But felt a subtle marketing mateial for Nikon accessories...

I just bought a D5600 Nikon camera and bought "David Busch's Nikon D5600 Guide to Digital SLR Photography" to understand all functions of this camera. I did some research and look at reviews on this guide and you can even scroll to some pages on Amazon before you buy it. It is very well put together , easy to follow and understand. This is not a how to take pictures type of book, it's a how to fully use and understand your D5600. If you just bought a D5600 Nikon even if you're a pro, do yourself a favor and get to really know your camera.

Beautifully presented guide, very well written & extremely informative with detailed drawings & pictures. I have gained an amazing amount of knowledge about the D5600, information that I would never attained just studying the rather limited pamphlet Nikon provide. I highly recommend this book if you wish to get the very best out of your camera. Ideal for beginners & experienced photographers alike. Excellent!!!

Really thorough, well written manual as expected from David Busch. In 2004 I bought his guide for one of the first Nikon digital SLRs, the Nikon D70s, and it was also excellent and informative, not only about how to use the camera itself, but also with very useful and clearly stated information about how to shoot various kinds of photos in general. After that early manual, I expected this one to be excellent as well, and it is. Everything is clearly written and easy to understand. There are plenty of photos to illustrate pretty much every topic he discusses, and all the photos are extremely helpful. to your comprehension of a subject. The manuals (usually a downloadable PDF now) that come with cameras these days are not nearly as complete or easy to understand as camera guides such as this one. The Nikon manual might tell you what setting choices are, but it doesn't tell you why to choose a particular setting, whereas this guide tells you why you should or perhaps should not choose a setting. This is a great book to read to understand your new D5600, and after studying it, it is still a great reference that you will use down the road. Worth every penny and highly recommended, especially if you are new to digital cameras. The D5600 is a fabulous camera, and it's worth your time to fully understand all that it can do.
