Nice bicycle hanger
I own 3 of this to organize my small fleet. I live in an apartment at Mexico City so taking advantage of the space is a most. There are many similar concepts to hang a bike, you can do this by using a rubber hook, which is inexpensive and provides somehow similar results, however, what I liked the most from this one is that it looks nice and it has slidable hooks that serve pretty well to accomodate my camelbaks and helmets, so I keep all my stuff in just one place. In addition to this, the botton tire cover helps to avoid put dirt/rubber marks on my walls, which is something I look for given the fact that my bycicles are in the living room, and usually the come with dirt. The construction is very solid, the main body is made of aluminum, which makes it a very sturdy and nice looking piece. The plastic portion is just an aesthetic cover. The polished finish also ensures that it will look nice for many years. Some reviews state that you cannot switch the hook position to another side, it is true, however most of the products that do this suffer from the same issue, so take this to think if it fits where you are planning to fix this holder. So if you don't like nice looking things, avoid this, you will feel robbed, and use a piece of wire instead. If you want something that looks nice, it is easy to install unless you lost a hand in combat, and it's practical, don't hesitate and you won't regrate.

High Quality makes this one worth it...
I decided to buy this bike hanger because I like the brand. Still, I was wondering why the price seemed to be higher than others. This question was answered as soon as I opened the box. The design is very good and all the metal parts and connectors are very high quality. Threaded parts were heavy duty and went together without a hitch. The picture leads you to believe that the hanger is mostly plastic, and it is; however, it doesn't show the base behind the plastic front that is solid metal. I had to hang on hollow drywall, but there were several attachment points, making it as sturdy as it will get for 1/2" thick.I also liked the simplicity and flexibility for using the hanger. Mine is set about 1 inch off the floor, making it very easy to lift the wheel onto the holder. The rear wheel pad is a nice touch and aligns the bike perfectly. Very happy with this hanger and well worth the price.UPDATE 10/19/2012: While I will stand my rating on this item, I have a caution...DON'T try to hang this in drywall. It worked fine for a few months, but today, it came crashing down during the night. The anchors simply did not hold securely enough in the drywall. My bike weighs about 21 pounds, and nothing else hangs on it. Fortunately, it did not fall into the car, which would have been a disaster for the paint on our new car. I am going to use a support board screwed into the studs to remount the hanger.

Well Made Hangers
I purchased three of these as I have more bikes than parking space in my garage. I mounted them side by side and learned a few things about the hardware. One is that you really have to find the studs in order to mount these bike hangers. The top screw attaching the mount to the wall carries virtually all of the weight of the bike and I don't think any drywall anchor will work adequately, although I notice that the installation kit includes drywall as well as wood screws. The good news is that for mounting multiple Topeak Wall hangers, the fact that studs are on 16 inch centers works out well as this is about how much room is needed to place multiple hangers along a wall, as long as you vertically stagger the height of adjacent hangers by 6 to 8 inches so that the handlebars don't get crossed up. One think you may not notice if you skip the directions is that the plastic cap that covers the hardware slides onto the side piece before being attached by a small screw. If you don't slide it on first, the plastic pulls away from the wall and doesn't look professional. My one complaint is that the plastic guard that mounts on the wall to keep the rear tire from scuffing the paint isn't very effective. I mount a number of different bikes depending on season and usage, and bikes are of different lengths so didn't bother to put up that part. In this sense, the Saris Bike Trac is probably better as it has a long channel for both tires to fit. On the other hand, this one has the two hooks which are useful for hanging bike locks, Camelbacks, etc., in space that would be wasted.

Perfect bike hanger
I looked at several bike hangers on Amazon before purchasing this one, and I have no regrets about this one. For the price you are definitely getting your monies worth. Its simple to install and comes with all the screws and wall anchors you need. The only thing you need is a Phillips screwdriver. I also like the extra hooks to hang my helmet and jersey or sunglasses, something most other hangers don't include. The rubber knob your bike rests on is safe as well and you don't have to worry about it bending your tire frame. It's also just as easy to take off the wall if you decide to move your bike spot or are moving. I would definitely recommend this bike rack because for the price you are not going to get a better one that offers extra hanging space for accessories.

Work great, bought a second one...
I initially bought one of these for my road bike about 6 weeks ago. It's worked out so well that I bought a second one for my wife's road bike. These are well made and fairly easy to install (took me about 10min the second time around). I made sure that I put them into a stud...I just don't think the included dry-wall anchors would hold up over time. Having the side hook is great for the helmet. I think these are best used for lighter road bikes. I would guess it would be a bit of a pain if you had some heavier bikes to get them up and down. Very happy with the purchase.

Too much money
Honestly just go buy a hook from Home Depot; it will do the same thing for much less. Nice design but its just overkill in my opinion.
