Cole's Brandy Christmas Pudding 454g

This was a wonderful pudding! It was well wrapped in an excellent plastic "basin" for heating. It is able to be heated by steaming or microwaving. I had misgivings about using a microwave, worried it may cause the pudding to get tough or rubbery, but I decided to risk heating it in my 1000 watt microwave anyway. The directions say to heat at 100% for 3 minutes and after heating to turn the pudding onto the basin (on a plate) for 30 seconds. This was perfect and the pudding was still moist and tender. When it was finished heating, I placed it on a ceramic plate, poured 3 Tablespoons of Brandy on top and flamed it until the Brandy extinguished itself. I immediately placed some spoonfuls (about 2 TBLS) of Tiptree Brandy Butter on top and cover the whole pudding with a tall metal pot to trap the heat and moisture in to allow the brandy butter to melt and run down the sides of the pudding. We enjoyed the pudding very much! It has a wonderful flavor and a rich, moist texture and easily served four people. I highly recommend this pudding! I will be purchasing again!

Cole's plum pudding tasted exactly like my family's recipe from 1887! I got lazy this year and didn't make it myself, which takes me hours and hours -- really days. I loved it. The color, flavor, and texture was exactly what I know and love. Thank you. I will be buying again. Ginny in Colorado.

This was just "okay". I have had better Christmas pudding and next year will try a different brand. Nothing wrong with it, just not my favorite.

It was expensive and very small. It fed two of us, only.

No dis riot ion of ingredients so I was disappointed when my first bite had nuts in it. I can’t eat nuts as I have allergies but I had no way to know until I cooked it. Other puddings usually say if nots are added so bad choice on my half. Besides that I have to say my favorite this year has been Pudding Lanes pudding, which was very tasty. Other ones that have been good are Walkers but Pudding Lane when available is now my go to choice

Delicious, moist and just like my Mom's. Will definitely order again next year.
