This is a cone chalk, perfect for billiards playing. The gentlest touch applies a reasonable amount of chalk, and it dries the skin and slides on the cue; perfect! It is JUST the chalk, it's important to read the description; the picture shows a chalk holder, but it's not part of the deal. I purchased one separately at the same time I ordered the chalk. Mine arrived in one piece, packaged appropriately, but you can see that it would be easy to break. Being very lightly held together makes the chalk come off easy, but the loose, uncompacted nature of the thing makes it structurally unsound. It would be completely unsatisfactory for billiards if it was like a stick of chalk, they are solid by comparison but also don't get much chalk on your hands. You need crumbly soft chalk for this application, and that's exaclty what you get.

It is working well on it pieces of the top broke off on first use, perhaps due to travel?

I’ve gotten some other Cohen chalks before and they felt a little damp to me. This one was perfect so dry and lasted a long time.

Came cracked and falling apart in the box....not good, had to keep the plastic on it just to keep whole chalk from falling apart. Not happy!

I used this for a while in my rec room until I place a gyro core on its holder so we can have snacks while we play. This also helps clean up afterwards because it absorbs grease and moisture

My block of chalk arrived in perfect shape. Been using it at the pool hall for a couple days and it's holding up great.
