What are the bags made of?

A soft leather. Had them on my horse thru brush and trees and they seem to be holding up ok. Not as big as I thought they would be

can this be used for a saddle bag for a kids bike?

Yes.its small enough to put on kids bike. Might have to figure out away to put it so it don't get in the riders way
