Taster Bundle - Traditional Thai Curry Paste by Mae Jum (6 Packs x 70g)

Excellent, very dense flavour. When the pack first arrived I was a bit disappointed as the quantity looked small for the price, compared with jar pastes you get from the supermarket. However, unlike jar pastes, there is no oil or filler in this paste so the taste is very intense. I'm dieting at the moment, so I made the green curry with chicken, low-fat coconut milk, baby sweet corn, mangetout peas and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious, and quite spicy. I'm looking forward to making using the rest of the seletion pack I bought.

Very tasty. Definitely tastes more authentic than any other pastes I’ve used (I’ve only tried the red curry so far). Doesn’t have that edge you get from Thai basil, but this can be added if you like it. My only issue is that the packet of paste isn’t resealable and is made to serve 8. I’m cooking for two! So - if the manufacturers are reading this, please could you either consider putting the paste in a jar or tube, or sealing the pouch in 8ths, so one can be used per person?

I don’t normally write reviews but these curry pastes are superb! I’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand I’m taken back to really fragrant, perfectly balanced and spicy dishes I haven’t been able to recreate at home before. The tastes are fresh, zingy and very addictive! I’m ordering more in bulk!

These are lovely, invited family round for a Thai night.. compliments all around and so simple to make.. yum

These were tasty and easy to use, but most of the sauces were really spicy, so these aren’t for the faint hearted!
