6 years and still holding up
After six years this backpack has held up as one of the best investments I’ve made. It was a bit of a reach spending so much on a backpack however I travel a lot and this has held up better than expected. Since buying this I have packed it full numerous times and hit the road. Buses, taxis, airplanes, trains, airbnbs, moves, travel… it’s lasted and still holds up. The zippers have held up great considering how many times I’ve stuffed this thing full. One of the zippers lost its leather tag however the zipper itself has held up. I love the flexibility as well, I can use it to carry my laptop and head to the local coffee shop to work, or expand it for extended travel, pulling out the waist straps for the heavy load. It’s not the most comfortable when I have it fully loaded. The shoulder straps don’t have a ton of padding, however for it’s flexibility it’s a decent trade off. Sometimes I don’t want super thick padded straps when I’m using it as a daily pack. I like the hidden compartments and they have come in handy a few times 😉🤐 while traveling. The buttons used to condense the pack don’t hold very strong, they seem to come undone a little more than I would like. With that being said, it’s been through a lot. I’ve tested this thing and haven’t always been nice to it. If you travel through rural areas, it happens and this thing has taken a beating and never failed me. I did a decent amount of research before buying this years ago and it seemed to be the best bang for the buck and here I am six years later still using it and I honestly feel like I made the right decision. I love this backpack especially after we’ve been through so much together. It stuck by my side through trips into the jungle, bus rides through rural Mexico and Guatemala, several moves, weekend trips, camping, breakups, DJ gigs, hiking and so much more. If you’re on the fence and looking for something that lasts, this pack will help you get where you want to go. Plus it looks so damn cool.

Super-clever stowage for straps
Sometimes you want to wear it like a backpack, and sometimes you need to put it somewhere (in my case, an overhead rack on Amtrak or an airliner). When you need to stow this, the straps hide behind a cleverly engineered panel with a few magnetic catches to keep the result flush and tidy. The straps don't catch on anything. Then, to wear it again, just pull the straps out in literally three seconds and shrug it on. Genius. The rest of the design is simple and effective. It's mostly a one-big-bag design but you do get water-bottle pockets on each side and a slot for a laptop. The fabric and stitching feel sturdy and abrasion-resistant. It's not cheap! But it's a high quality piece of travel kit, and its thoughtful design means you will want to use it, and you will appreciate its better-than-most utility. (I also bought Peak Design's matching Wash Pouch to replace a 45-year-old Dopp kit that was fraying and disassembling itself at last. The Wash Pouch is, like the backpack, a clever critter. It has just the right combination of small and large interior spaces to hold deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving essentials and smaller stuff like wipes, Q-tips, nail nippers, whatever... while keeping wet and dry things separate. )

Awesome bag
Best travel bag I've owned. I always come back with more than I left with and it can hold a ton. It's been through a lot and looks brand new.

Great bag BUT!
This is a very well made bag with thoughtful innovative design features! However, it is VERY HEAVY! There are no load lifters! If you are short, I am 5’4” with long legs and shorter torso, this bag is NOT for you! The hip belt does not help us short people! Because this bag is so long, the hip belt sits well below my hips. This bag was most definitely built for an average to tall man. I really wanted this bag to work for me, but it just doesn’t. I was looking for a bag that had a refined aesthetic. This is a beautiful, well made bag with tons of great features. But this does not work for short people. I will be selling this bag on Peak Designs website if anyone is interested.

Great bag, perfect size, worth the investment!
I'm 50 and have a little more time and $ to travel so I decided to invest in a good bag I can carry anywhere. This bag does the trick. Good solid build, strong materials, plenty of room, thoughtful features without overcomplicating. I just got back from a week in Yellowstone and the bag was flawless with plenty of room for all my gear. I love how easy it is to access any compartment. The convenient and comfortable stowable straps are a great feature. On this trip we had to take a smaller jet (2 seats on each side) and the overheard space was tight. Everyone boarding before me was given a tag and asked to leave their bag to be stored with the checked luggage. I simply pulled out the shoulder straps and put the bag on my back and the gate attendant didn't require me to take the tag. My wife, who had to check her bag, scoffed and said it would never fit. When we got in the plane, I quickly stored the shoulder straps and slid the bag into the tiny overhead to her surprise. It was nice to not have to wait for my bag to be delivered with everyone else. I definitely got a few looks as I stepped by with my bag on my back. I'm next off to Panama then Europe and I can't wait to take the bag out for another run.

Nice and stylish backpack
Very nice travel backpack. I like big backpack so for me the size is perfect. It seems very durable and very comfort to use. This backpack is rather on the expensive side, but the quality is good.

pricey but very well done bag.
i've got three trips on this bag so far and it's simply the best laptop-carrying travel backpack. this has replaced a long-lasting (20+year old) llbean travel backpack (which wasn't designed for laptops). it's really pricey but i figure this'll be the last one I'll ever need. i got the green model. (time to get away from black everything.) i carry a thickish dell precison 7550 and it fits with room to spare. the three capacity configurations have been perfect for my trips which ranged from 2-7 days. ymmv. I won't repeat all the great features others have mentioned and will only note small stuff that are *minor* misses: - the two snaps take some effort to engage. one was more difficult to use the first time. it's was easier since. - if you carry the bag by one of the side handles in the snapped configuration, expect the snap on that side to come undone. not surprising. -the pivoting and tuck-away ability of the shoulder and waist straps is kinda mind blowing. very cool but it'll take a little practice to be able to do it quickly. - the outside front compartment that opens downward and is secured with two magnets. only put stuff in there that that's flat and/or stuff you don't mind losing. i'd have preferred one or two snaps rather than magnets.

Fantastic travel bag
This bag has everything. It's a great size to use as a carry-on and has all kinds of access zippers and pockets. But the features I love most are: water bottle holders, the AMAZING magnetic strap hiding system (a standout from other competitors), and a strap on the back so you can hook it over your stroller bag's handle. I haven't tested it out yet on a trip, but it looks like it has everything we need if we don't load it up too heavily. It's also a really handsome bag, which is nice.

Sooooo good
Bought this bad boi for a bit of one bagging to Nice this Xmas (cause Blighty is f****** cold and miserable). A twat, with a little jiggery-pokery I got 2 weeks worth of shizzle into it It's well made, looks amazing, is super comfy and generally my new fave thing Too big for an everyday carry, but for a few weeks of well deserved sun it's a winner

1 Woche Asien geht ohne weiteres.
