Copper Bisglycinate 3mg x 120 Tablets (Bioavailable Chelated Form) by Phoenix Nutrition

I briefly suffered from Zinc neuropathy. This was caused by too much zinc being absorbed by the body. It felt as if I was having a possible stroke with pins and needles on my right-hand side of the body. I was in a country where I could not get to see a doctor. I have studied alternative therapies for years and whilst with something that was potentially serious I would seek professional help, this time I tried self-medication as my first defence. I took 2 tablets in the morning and within 1 hour all the symptoms had gone. I took another one at lunchtime. After the first 2 weeks, I reduced the dose to 2 tablets a day. This brand worked almost instantly. I maintain a zinc-copper balance with this product and now only take one a day. This product is well absorbed, it works very well and I am happy to recommend it.

These are rather potent and I soon had to drop down to half a tablet. I'm on HRT so the oestrogen helps keep hold of copper as does the calcium I take. They certainly made a difference. Most copper supplements are only 1mg. I've found they work well with zinc piconate, even though they are supposed to compete for absorbency they seem to work better for me together. Even zinc on its own made no difference, but magic combo. Bought as a cofactor to DAO. I've used phoenix nutrition many times as they are always reliable and good quality.

Easy to swallow, and my area suffers from copper deficiency, and I've seen what copper deficiency does, and it's not pretty, so I'm not taking any chances. Neighbouring farmers give copper drenched and pure copper pellets to sheep, cattle, and horses to prevent copper deficiency. You can have your land checked to see what deficiencies it has and a hint - Organic Farming does not resolve those deficiencies, though using seaweed fertiliser can help, but can still be much lower than needed for specific deficiencies. A late friend was convinced Sunlight provided every element the ground needs - he was a bit stubborn though and having a Soya Factory, he lived on the stuff, and because he didn't use fermented Soya, the ruddy stuff killed him. A damned shame, as apart from him being as Daft as a brush, he was a really nice guy. I also add copper to my ground by the way, as well as adding seaweed fertiliser. Another bad one to watch out for, is Molybdenum Deficiency (you can counter that by dusting seeds with Molybdenum powder). Hope that helps. Bob.

I am happy with my purchase. They are great value. The dosage is just right too. I take mine with my Zinc supplement.

Giving a four star as I've only taken one. Bought them as I have been taking high amounts of Zinc for lungs and that can strip away copper. I trust they will do what they say on the pack. I intend to take three a week.
