I know this says it's for mach, but it does also work with linuxcnc. When it was first set up the controller was on a old Dell and the responsiveness of the jog dial was kind of laggy and slow. Needless to say when the old computer died and we moved the control software over to a newer computer with a i5 in it holy smokes this thing is way more responsive. Function wise it works great, given that I'm using linuxcnc and not mach. I just need to spend some time and program the buttons in the hal files to get them to do what I want.

Device is pretty simple to install.A little bit of latency, and it sometimes causes my computer to lock up in Mach3. Still, it works well if I don’t interrupt my programs a lot, and the device is easy to reset.

Mach3 is no longer supported! If you have a Windows 7 computer then you are fine. Don't expect this product to work with Windows 10 Build 1803 and higher. So if you have updated your Windows 10 after April 2018 this wireless handwheel will not operate. Do not take my word for it, Google it yourself. The provided plugins do not work. The people posting 5 star reviews are probably using old machines (as many CNC experts do), or are config geniuses. This appears to be a well built product and I am sure it would be fine with an old computer, but the Amazon description needs to reflect the need for an old operating system since this product is predicated upon the use of Mach3.

Very hard to set up, still have not got it to work

Loaded and ran on two independent mach 3 CNC mills running XP Pro. Worked on both. Had a corrupt file on # two. Reloaded mach and fixed the problem. This is a really cool product.

Works good.A little latency as noted in other reviews. The reason for 4 stars is it took some detective work to find the software and installation instructions. After that, installation was pretty straight forward, like any other plugin. Built well, seems solid. Works well. I mainly use it for positioning on an older mill. For the money I have no complaints. It does what I wanted it to do.

The hardware looks great, but getting it to work is hopeless. No manual or installation instructions in the box. They send you to their dismal website that is mostly in Chinese and every time you select English it goes back to the main page. After finding the proper driver page Chrome refuses to download the files indicating virus contamination. After several hours of struggle I gave up and returned the unit to Amazon.
